We have booked Josh for our wedding next year but I needed to leave a review after our engagement shoot as he was just so wonderful. He was so patient with us, made us laugh, and made us feel comfortable. He delivered the most stunning photos that made us feel so confident, both in ourselves and our decision to hire him for our wedding. Photography was one of the most important aspects of our wedding to me and I searched high and low for a photographer with a style that I liked and when I saw Josh's website I knew he was our guy! We could not be more pleased and we're looking to work with him again on the big day!

I can't say enough good things about Josh at J.Olson Weddings, who shot both our engagement and wedding photos. Photography was one of my biggest priorities in wedding planning, and Josh exceeded my expectations. He consistently goes above and beyond to get amazing shots, and his style of shooting is collaborative, laid back, and fun. He is kind, down to earth, and a pleasure to hang out with -- which is important because we spent lots of time with him walking all over the city for our engagement shoot and hiking to locations for our wedding portraits, as well as sharing meals in between. His calm and relaxed manner put us both at ease. Most importantly, we couldn't be happier with the finished photos, which Josh delivered in a timely manner. Josh's style is artful and intimate, a beautiful mix between candid/journalistic style shots (especially for receptions, etc) and more editorial style portraits. The editing on the photos is beautiful, and he clearly put in tons of hours to make them perfect. Lastly, Josh isn't the most inexpensive photographer you could find, but for the amazingly high quality of his work plus the amount of time he spent with us (and editing!), I think his rates are incredibly reasonable and actually a bit of a steal. (We aren't even in Minnesota but loved his work so much that we hired him to shoot our engagement pix in New York and our wedding in CA, so that should tell you something about how great we think he is.) I also want to add that Josh is very professional -- he always responded to messages quickly and was on time -- early actually -- to everything.
