Dream Interfaith Wedding!

Stephanie was the best Rabbi we could’ve dreamt of! I’m Latina and Jewish and my husband is Christian. We wanted an interfaith wedding combining both Jewish and Christian traditions. We kept all the Jewish traditions for the most part and also had a pastor. Stephanie was incredibly flexible with our schedules, communicative, and helpful. I don’t even know where to start because she is unreal! We’ve been having our marriage counseling sessions with her which have been incredibly helpful when thinking about our household and so many important factors going into marriage. Stephanie was so helpful with making the program and getting the series of prayers and events of the ceremony organized. She relieved any anxiety we had and even brought a Kiddush cup for the ceremony that we had forgotten. We also had the wedding ceremony in Spanish, English, and Hebrew and it didn’t run over 40 minutes. She worked with my husband’s choice of pastor and my friend who was translating in Spanish. Stephanie was hilarious and had our guests laughing and fascinated as she explained the Jewish traditions and prayers in a very simple manner. She has helped my husband and me and has become like an older sister Rabbi for us through all of this. We will be staying in touch with Stephanie forever and are forever grateful. I had many stressful life events taking place right before the wedding and Stephanie held my hand through it and gave us so much love, support, and wisdom. I cannot imagine our wedding day without her. She is intentional, thorough, dedicated, loving, professional, and made the day what we wanted and more. Thank you Stephanie for going above and beyond for us! You made our wedding a dream come true and stress free🥰❤️🙏🏽🙌🏽 We don’t have our pics back from the photographer yet, but it was a gorgeous meaningful ceremony. She let us give our own vows too. All my guests still talk about how beautiful and meaningful our ceremony was. It set the tone for the rest of the night and was incredibly magical!

Lovely from start to finish

Rabbi Stephanie is wonderful! She recently officiated my wedding. Stephanie was a great choice for us, since my partner's patrilineal Jewish descent is not recognized in all Jewish denominations. Stephanie helped us understand and make informed decisions about how to include elements of a Jewish wedding, was open to modern and egalitarian iterations, and helped all our guests to feel included in these traditions.

We did a few weeks of counseling on a variety of topics and Stephanie included so many of the personal details and stories from that time in our ceremony. That level of personalization meant a lot to us (and to guests, who told us so!)! would recommend Rabbi Stephanie without hesitation!

More than an officiant

Rabbi Stephanie exceeded all expectations for an officiant. We are an interfaith couple, and we were dead-set on having a friend or family member perform our wedding ceremony because we wanted it to be personal. We couldn't find the right person for the job, though, and eventually became open to a third-party. Through the luck of a Google search, we found Rabbi Stephanie. I can't say enough about her as a person and our experience with her. Part of the arrangement was regular FaceTime calls to get to know each other. Through these calls, we gained a better understanding of ourselves and our relationship, but we also became friends with Rabbi Stephanie. By the time our wedding came around, we had the friend we'd always wanted to officiate our wedding.

The service itself was perfect. In the time leading up to the wedding, Rabbi Stephanie went through every detail of the service - what we wanted and didn't want. The result was a service that was uniquely ours; it hit just the right amount of Jewish tradition without going overboard for our guests that weren't Jewish. Countless wedding guests made it a point to tell us how beautiful the service was and how great Rabbi Stephanie was. Even my impossible-to-please Jewish mother was thrilled!

It was difficult saying goodbye to Rabbi Stephanie after the service. We don't live in Columbus and felt we were missing out on an opportunity to hang out regularly with our new friend. I hope we are able to at least facetime and maybe see her next time we visit.

Thank you Rabbi Stephanie!
