Impact Video
I got married March 2020 and I hired Jason from Impact Video to be our wedding videographer. I picked the cheapest package for $500. It included 4 hours of video, and I like that it was flexible to cover what I wanted in those 4 hours. Jason arrived on site and set up for the ceremony, he had a small microphone for my husband to wear clipped to his tie to capture our vows. After the ceremony Jason and our photographer took some family shots and some quick videos of my husband and I. The next part of the evening I wanted captured was toasts and then the first dance. For the beginning of the toasts the audio cut out, which was not a huge deal, Jason cut into it where the audio came back and it worked out just fine. He also used music from the wedding day as background music in the final video. Our contract did not have a completion date, when I asked for a timeframe Jason said we could expect it the week of March 23rd. He confirmed I would receive it by March 27th at the latest. On the 28th and 29th I sent messages asking for a new date he could have it completed. On the 29th Jason responded and stated to me: “I will give you a full refund and just not do the video. thanks”. My heart sank into my stomach, because he was the only one with video of the most special day of our lives. Jason finally agreed to complete our video (like our contract stated). I was so panicked that I did not ask for a new deadline, I was desperate for him to just do the video. Eventually I was notified that it would be done by the week of May 11th. When that week passed, and still no video, we eventually hear from Jason and the video was done on May 22nd. The first version Jason sent did not include footage of my husband walking his parents to their seats, so I asked Jason to add that in. Like I said, the video is beautiful. This was the cheapest option I could find, communication was not the greatest, and the heartache from him threatening not to provide our wedding footage was awful. My advice: make sure your contract has a deadline for completion.
