Our wedding day was a dream. Everyone warned me before the day that something would go wrong, but nothing did! It almost felt as if I floated through the day like a dream. Kimmy and her team helped me flesh out my vision from the beginning, and gave options of the best vendors possible while still keeping cost conscious. She was also well versed in proper wedding etiquette, and well connected to many resources that helped streamline the process. In general wedding planning is stressful, but Kimmy and her team helped to make things feel less hectic, but did give fair warning when crucial deadlines needed to be met. She gives you timelines, and checklists of things to be done so you don’t have to do the heavy lifting. Even down to the wedding day she has a detailed plan of where each person needs to be and when, so that everyone is on the same page. On the day of the wedding hair and makeup etc went smoothly and I was on time and Kimmy and her team were able to keep the rowdy bridal party in check! Kimmy also spent time with me and my mom while getting dressed and was very helpful in keeping us calm. My guests had only the best things to say about the day, they were comfortable, fed and never waiting too long for the next event, three months later I’m still getting compliments about what a wonderful day it was. Who do you call when, with just two weeks to your big day, your originally self-planned arrangements are threatened by a category 5 hurricane? I called I Do Islands! That was truly the best decision I made, and I cannot recommend them enough.

After Hurricane Melissa forced our original venue to close, I was devastated. I had been planning every detail for almost a year prior but in the wake of the storm, I knew I simply couldn’t re-plan a wedding in fourteen days. I was referred to I Do Islands and, in the midst of hurricane recovery, not even sure what to expect, I reached out to Kimmy. After hearing my predicament, she immediately connected me with her team and agreed to come on board as my wedding planner.

From the moment they stepped in, the weight lifted off my shoulders. Thanks to their extensive network and the amazing relationships they have with their vendors, we were able to secure a new venue, caterers and bar service within days! They worked seamlessly with our pre-existing vendors and handled the coordination of our big day with such calm, grace, and genuine care. They really didn’t miss a single detail.

Early in our engagement, we visited Jamaica to meet Kim and Sarah in person for site visits. They created a comprehensive two-day schedule and took us across venue walkthroughs, food tastings, hair, makeup trials, and DJ meetings. This trip was super productive, and we selected all our vendors and wedding location from this single trip.

Throughout the planning process, we communicated primarily via email and Zoom. Zoom meetings focused on timeline-specific priorities—an approach that helped prevent overwhelm. While meeting frequency was flexible to our needs, we increased sessions as the wedding date approached. The team was always accessible for questions, and Kim and Sarah's seamless coordination meant either could pick up conversations where the other left off, ensuring consistently responsive communication.

During our day-before walkthrough and on our wedding day, the team was phenomenal—providing clear direction, instruction, setting the perfect tone for our bridal party, decisively pivoting when needed to keep things on track, and most importantly, cheering, prioritizing, and supporting us to the max!

The I Do Islands were overall really great to work with to plan our wedding in 1 year. They suggested great vendors, particularly the photographer, hairstylist, makeup artist, and catering. They also helped us negotiate to get the best venue prices. They were great at timely responses, particularly Sarah, the primary assistant, who is such a valuable asset throughout the whole process.
