Highly recommend having your event at Hoover Country Club!

The staff members were very friendly and helpful! They walked with us through all of the steps of planning our reception for 8 months. They had plenty of servers the day of the event. It is a beautiful venue and the food was very good. Perfect setting for a lovely reception!

I really enjoyed Hoover Country Club as a reception venue. They were willing to work with me with my requests and were beyond accommodating. They really worked hard to make sure the reception went smoothly and everyone was very professional. We also appreciated that the price that quoted us was what we paid. The price includes everything...the cost of the food, tax, and tip. Overall, a very good experience.

Although with Country Clubs, you do have to use their food, which costs more, but they worked with us on budget and negotiated down the price per person, and provide so many resources with vendors, as well as many options for decorations! Because the venue is beautiful, you do not need to add a lot of décor or flowers. They also set up and clean up as apart of the rental, and allow for kegs from local breweries, which adds a nice "Birmingham" touch. They are very quick for responsiveness and open with communication. They also let you test the food for the reception at no cost, and you can bring them specific recipes of a certain dish for them to cook. Beautiful setting!

Being a country club, we thought this would be a perfect venue for our reception. About a week prior to the wedding, we had numerous problems with the catering director and other staff members. The food was decent but not great. We were promised take home food and did not receive hardly anything even though we saw food left over. Our cakes were being cut in extra large pcs and we saw guests throwing most of it away. The wine was being poured all the way to the top of the rim of the glass in hopes we would purchase more, but we didn't. The staff would not put out more chairs when asked. There have been several discrepancies between the contract and what was promised and agreed upon. We would not refer Hoover Country Club to anyone for a reception or any other event.
