My husband and I had to change our plans last minute due to COVID, and needed to hire a new photographer with less than a month’s notice. Holly was SO flexible, responsive, and understanding. I felt very stressed about how last minute our elopement plans were, but Holly was so laid back it helped my anxiety melt away. My husband and I weren’t familiar with the area, so Holly went and scoped out good spots for the types of photos we wanted ahead of time. I was really impressed by her going the extra mile. She told us a certain number of photos we’d be getting, but we wound up getting way more which was a fantastic surprise. The turnaround time was also super fast! I love Holly’s editing style. Our photos came out super light and airy with great fall colors despite most of the leaves already falling. We had a blast doing these photos and it made our elopement feel more like the "real" wedding we wanted.

We LOVED working with Holly!! She was super easy to get along with, and we felt like she was a natural part of our day...it wouldn’t have felt right to have anyone else taking our pictures! She met us MONTHS ahead of time at a coffee shop in another town, which was totally out of her way and she didn’t have to do it, but it made us sure we were picking the right lady! Her pictures are beautiful, and we just can’t quit looking at them 😊 we will definitely be using Holly any time we need more pictures, and would even catch up over coffee when we’re in town, because we really felt like we became friends! If you are searching for a photographer for any event, quit looking - this is your girl!!!!

I first found out about Holly when she did the photography for my best friend's wedding a few years ago and she did amazingly. When I was planning my wedding, I knew I had to have her photograph my big day.  She was great then; she's incredible now. You know how you take a bunch of pictures only to get a handful that you like? Not the case with Holly. I'll probably have to take out a small loan to print all the pictures I love because I love every single one of them. She makes everyone look and feel their best. If I could wallpaper my house with these pictures, I would.  She's also super cool to have at your wedding. She doesn't freak out when you go full bridezilla or when your bridesmaid almost kills you all en route to the wedding. She's fun, she's sweet, and she's creative. I cannot say enough good things about her. I just know that if you don't choose her for your wedding, you're wrong.

Holly was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was our wedding photographer for a July wedding. I was first drawn to her photography style because they looked so natural -- they looked like photos of real people and real events and she seemed to be able to capture short special moments. I was looking for someone who would not try and turn my wedding photos into an avant garde art project (I do not have a problem with such things in general, but that is not what I want for my wedding photos), but would record our wedding and leave us with photos that we can enjoy for the rest of our lives. She also specializes in outdoor photography, and we got married in a garden, so it was a perfect fit!

In addition to this, Holly was very quick to respond, very flexible (she was willing to work with us to compose a wedding package that suits us best), professional, and knowledgeable. She was not at all demanding, and did not insist on stupid poses that looks silly and makes everyone look uncomfortable. She was just a pleasure to work with, and a pleasure to have at my wedding. Our wedding photos turned out absolutely fabulous and she also got all of them ready within a week so that I was able to show my wedding photos to the rest of my family in South Africa who could not make it to the actual wedding (we just went to visit them as part of our honey moon). Overall, I would definitely recommend her! My husband and I are extremely pleased with our lovely photos.

Holly is great at what she does! She advertises as a photographer that loves to shoot out in nature and that was what we were looking for, as we got married outdoors in early spring when not much was in bloom yet. We wanted someone that could draw out the natural beauty and that she did! She was amazing to work with. Made me feel super comfortable, didn't make me do poses that I thought we would look silly doing. She was able to laugh with us at how cold it was outside when we thought it was going to be like 70 degrees. The thing that drew me to her was her responsive and enthusiastic emails we traded back and forth while I was still shopping around and after I committed. When I asked for a quote, instead of a short email back with $$ figures (like 99% of the responses I got), she actually asked ME questions about what I was looking for and how she could make my day great. We clicked almost immediately. I feel like I made a good friend out of this :) I can't wait to work with her again!

Holly was so wonderful to work with and I love the the photos she took of our wedding. We had a small, outdoor wedding, and I wanted someone who could capture the natural beauty of the setting. Holly had great suggestions for photos, and even tromped through the woods with us to get some great shots before and after the ceremony. She managed to get all the photos we wanted while at the same time being very discreet and unobtrusive. Holly was so much fun and made us feel so comfortable. She even loaned us a few things to make our reception special. she really went above and beyond, I am so happy we choose her as our photographer.

When we began our search for a wedding photographer, we knew we wanted our wedding photos to be more natural than posed. Holly was amazing to work with. She was there every step of the way. She helped with picking out outfits for engagement pictures, helped us find a terrific florist, and she even took some graduation shots for us. Holly was able to capture moments that I wouldn't have even thought about. Holly was amazing at helping us and our families pose in pictures. The whole experience with Holly was the easiest part of the whole wedding planning process. Included with our package was a beautiful leather bound photo album, some various prints, and a CD containing all of the photographs.

My husband and I found Holly Cromer after searching for venders/venues in the area we were getting married (Galax, VA). We fell in love with a blog of her photos from a particular wedding that took place in that town. After reviewing her website, blog, etc we new she would be the perfect photographer for us and were thrilled when our wedding date was open with her. Holly was amazing through the whole experience and quickly responded to any emails I sent.
Due to our work schedules, my husband and I were unable to head to VA for engagement pictures like we wanted. However, it worked out, because Holly ended up making a trip to the Outer Banks for our photos a few weeks before the wedding. We had a blast with her taking pictures. She also worked to get several printed out in time to have at our wedding.
At the wedding Holly and her mom just felt like part of our guests. We wanted a small, fun and really personal wedding with close family and friends. My husband wanted more candid shots then posed photos. Holly was able to capture what he wanted and I can not tell you how much I cherish these photos...I look at them and remember that moment. They are absolutely beautiful! Some of these photos are even more special to us because one of my sisters unexpectedly past away recently, and I have cherished being able to look back and see her. Holly was extremely professional, flexible, and just all around awesome. I am so thankf ul we chose her!

Holly was amazing! Sounds cliche, I know, but she was so much more than a fabulous photographer! From day one, she worked with me as we bounced ideas back and forth for photo options and even wedding decor ideas! She was open to many ideas and her personality made me feel I had an ally in the entire planning process! Weddings can be stressful, and hiring Holly took the edge off. The most important thing to my husband and I were the wedding photos, and she without a doubt delivered! We selected a package option with lots of inclusive elements and a large canvas! During the day of the wedding, Holly was on point! There were so many shots we had, where we didn't even know she was present. We will continue to work with Holly for other events in the future, but don't miss out on hiring her now! It's one of the best decisions we made. She preserved and captured our beautiful day into something we can look at and share with family for days to come.

We hired Holly to photograph our May 2014 wedding at Smithfield Plantation in Blacksburg. The package we went with also included engagement and bridal portraits (plus a photo booth, which my guests LOVED and a lovely wedding album). We met Holly at a bridal expo and were really impressed with the quality of her photos. And she is the sweetest person! She made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. Having good photographs was one of the most important things to my husband and me. We wanted to make sure we had the best images to capture the day. This being said, Holly exceeded our expectations! She captured all the moments we wanted and more. We really got to know her by doing an engagement session (I would really recommend doing this!) It gave us a chance to become comfortable with Holly and that session left me with no worries about how it would go on our wedding day. Holly provided an extremely detailed questionnaire for me to fill out before the wedding day that we could fill in to make sure she captured all the moments that were important to us. I thought this was a great idea! It made it so that Holly knew exactly what we wanted and I could just sit back and enjoy the day and not worry about moments being captured- I knew Holly was on it! And this definitely reflected in the photos. I would recommend Holly to anyone planning a wedding! She is such a nice person, very easy going, organized, and a very talented photographer.
