This past February, I had the honor of marrying my best friend. We aren’t very very traditional, but we are a little bit traditional. This venue was able to balance the traditional and nontraditional aspects of our wedding seamlessly. They brought to life the exact vision we had in our mind. The entire staff brought amazing energy, and made sure all of our guests felt welcome and taken care of. Not to mention how amazingly well they took care of me and my husband, they made sure we were fed, had our drinks at all times, and constantly checked on us throughout the day/night to make sure we were happy and all was well!

I really enjoyed how the nontraditional pieces, were added into our wedding without any mess ups, and it felt just perfect. All of our guests made a big family trip, friend trip, to go snowboard and ski while staying up in Winter Park. While we were on our honeymoon, we got lots of feedback from the families saying they would ask each other what their favorite part of the trip was, and they always said the wedding, even the younger group that was there said the wedding was their favorite part of whole trip! That’s an absolute win in my books!

The venue itself is just stunning. You could really decorate this venue anywhere you want, and it would just look amazing. Any color scheme would look stunning here, we went with green black, white and silver, and it matched with the wood beautifully.

The scenery is breathtaking. They have the option to open these really big doors, and show the mountains behind. We were sitting right in front of those doors, and ended up opening it during dinner. Everybody stood up immediately to take 1 million photos of us, after we saw the photos, we knew we booked the right place!

Our wedding was so stress-free, everything was so well taken care of, and just beautiful. They were able to make my biggest dreams, come true, even if they seemed too far out of reach. If you are looking to book here, trust me, just do it, I would relive that day over and over and over again if I could.

Best of wedding planning to you! Or if you were just hosting an event here, it would be one of the coolest places to host any kind of event, it is just so one of a kind and special. Definitely at least take a tour!

We used Headwaters for our wedding reception of 120 and had the best experience.  Lisa and Brittany took the best care of us from day one and made us feel truly seen throughout the whole process! We had some unconventional ideas for our cocktail hour, and they did not bat an eye helping us make our dream a reality. We loved that there are so many walkable vacation stays, which truly allowed our guests to feel like they were on a trip.  Our guests enjoyed taking advantage of the September hiking and mountain biking scene, and since almost everyone flew in from out of state, the reasonable distance from Denver airport was a huge pro.
The barn is an absolute dream -- pictures truly don't do this space justice.  We found that we saved a lot of money on decor because the bones of the space are beautiful as is! The large area allows a lot of flexibility in layout to best suit your needs and creativity.  The outdoor balcony was a great space to soak in the mountain view earlier in the night, and a great escape for guests wanting some air away from the dance floor later in the evening.  Headwaters supplied propane heaters which were a lifesaver after the sun went down! 
This was totally out of their control, but we were a little disappointed with the construction next to the lawn.  There was no active construction during our event, however the green unfinished building was quite an eye sore.  There is a decent amount of construction in the area.
Overall we had an amazing experience.  We loved the flexibility the venue gave us to be creative, the proximity to Winter Park activities and stays,  the character of the space, the mountain view from the reception space, and the value of your dollar! 

Brittany and Lisa at Headwaters Center were a joy to work with. We asked a lot of questions and they were very patient and helpful with all of them. From the initial tour to the day-of, they were thoughtful with all details and logistics. We appreciated the transparent pricing and that the venue came with bar services, tables, chairs, linens, etc. We were able to focus much of our attention on other vendors like catering, DJ, and photography. Most of our vendors came from their preferred list, which was very helpful! The venue itself is gorgeous and spacious and located in beautiful Winter Park. Our guests loved how close it was to accommodations, restaurants, bars, and recreational activities. All in all, we highly recommend working with Headwaters Center for your wedding or any other event. The space is beautiful and Brittany and Lisa will help you make your vision come true!

I cannot recommend Headwaters enough. Lisa, Brittany, and team were so easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our big day. The inside of this building is so stunning and a perfect backdrop to make it whatever you want. Their bartending staff did a great job making our signature drinks and keeping things moving quickly and smoothly all night. Highly recommend - plus your venue fee helps contribute to water conservation. Can't beat that!

Our experience with Headwaters was amazing from start to finish. Lisa and her team (including Brittany and all of the staff) were so helpful every step of the way. They were fantastic with communication and helped to ease our minds with all of the various questions or concerns that come along with wedding planning. The scenery at Headwaters was breathtaking and our guests continue to rave about how beautiful the mountain backdrop was. I will recommend Headwaters to anyone who is looking for an amazing mountain venue.

We selected Headwater Journey Center as our wedding for the ceremony & reception. It was truly a the perfect venue for our dream wedding and it was all thanks to Lisa & her amazing staff at Headwaters.
The process leading up to the big day could not be smoother especially working with Lisa. Any questions we had, she responded almost immediately and was a joy to work with.
The day of the wedding, Lisa and her staff were on top of everything and knew exactly what we wanted and where. They were able to adjust quickly on a couple last minute changes without hesitancy.
During the wedding was the same story. Lisa & her team were around for anything we needed or any changes that needed to be done. Lisa even went out of her way to bring me water 2 minutes before the ceremony started!
And the end of the night the teardown could not have gone any better.
Headwater Center was the perfect venue for our wedding and the staff made it that much better! I would 100% recommend this venue for anything looking to have a gorgeous mountain wedding!

We had our wedding at the Headwaters Center in August 2021 and we truly can’t say enough wonderful things about this venue! Not only are the building and surroundings absolutely stunning (reclaimed barn, amazing patio, mountains, rivers, pine trees, amphitheater), but the staff are all so incredible as well. Our wedding was one of the first to be affected by the COVID pandemic, with our original date in April 2020, initially postponed to August 2020, and finally happening in August 2021. We worked with Samantha, Ellen, and Marissa, and throughout all the uncertainty, stress and panic of postponing multiple times, they were all so kind, accommodating, professional, and patient. Once our day (finally) arrived, Ellen and Marissa were fantastic support, jumping in to help with set up, bartending, and anything else you could imagine. We also really loved that the Headwaters Center completely handled the bar/bartenders (less stress on us, and the bartenders were awesome!), provided/set up/tore down all chairs/tables/linens (both for the ceremony and reception), and allowed us to have our rehearsal on site the day before. Having lodging options nearby for our guests was also important to us and being right in downtown Winter Park, the Headwaters Center certainly met that mark, as well. Again, we could not more highly recommend this amazing venue!

The stunning facility is a dream come true.
The staff is amazing to work with and they solve any and all issues that come up during planning. We had my daughters wedding there in Feb 2021 and it was breathtaking.
You should see the pictures of the reception and how the main room was transformed.

We have our wedding receipton on a Saturday and then on Sunday has a going away brunch. Both events were what brides dream of.
The Staff what worked during the event were highly professional.
Samantha is the GM and we worked with her for over a year.
She was always available and super prompt on everything.
Highly recommend this facility for any event, especially your wedding.

Headwaters Center is perfect! The venue itself is beautiful, large, rustic and perfect for any size wedding. It's complete with great mountain views and easy to get to from Denver. The staff is great and made it so easy to have the wedding we envisioned. They were very accommodating to our needs and requests while also offering great guidance. The communication and responsiveness was excellent throughout the whole process and we never felt like we didn't know the status of where things stood at any point. The price also can't be beat for the location, quality of venue and service that you get!
