Well first there's me, Tiana.
I've been chasing different art projects all my life.
From the age of four years old, I decided I wanted to be an artist. I was at my small, home daycare center when I first painted. It was finger paint, and I made a wonderful mixture of blues and purples that I still have today. I stuck with this goal until I was 11 years old when I decided I wanted to become a writer. I wrote poetry, short stories, and journaled my heart out. My parents and teachers encouraged me to submit works into local competitions where they were well received.
Just a few years later, I was introduced to photography in my freshman year of high school. In my sophomore year I had the grand opportunity to go to a trade school for filmmaking and digital media. I fell in love instantaneously. By the time I was 15, I had already decided on which colleges I would apply to.
I am currently enrolled in the Los Angeles Film School where I will obtain a Masters Degree in Fine Arts, for digital filmmaking.
During my free time, you can catch me:
spending time with my children, cat, dog, chickens, ducks, snakes
planning vacations to almost anywhere, but mostly Hawaii
slaving away on homework assignments,
Riding my motorcycle
Watching movies
Exploring
And then there's me, Alex.
I'm Tiana's partner.
I first became involved in art on a totally different note. Music.. but not just any music; trombone. I went from trombone to guitar, to bass, to finally drums.
The drums.. This is where my interest really peaked, I went from constantly tapping on my legs, walls, and tables, to banging on drums from band to band. Not only did I have a passion for it, but I seemed to have a natural talent.
I spent my summers at my grandmas house way out in the boonies. This is where I'd say I discovered my eye for beauty and nature. I didn't start taking pictures until years later, but when I finally did, it was like finding a long lost love. I have no clue what took me so long to find my calling... but, I didn't even realize I was becoming a photographer. I took pictures on my work brakes and showed my co workers some of the things I found around our work-sites. Their reactions always surprised me, and some of my closer friends told me I should really do something with the pictures. Back then, I didn't know what that meant, but since, I have found my way to share these images with the world.
After I began my career in photography, I was introduced to videography, where I once again felt like it was like finding a long lost love. I'm so grateful I have happened along all the opportunities that I have, and have gotten to where I am.
In my free time, you can catch me:
In my robe
Working on my car
Doing household projects
Cuddling with my ducks and chickens
Cuddling on the couch with my family watching movies
Playing Super Mario Bros on Super Nintendo
Trying new things
