Happily Ever Esho

My name is Michael Omotayo Esho, 1/2 of this dynamic photography duo. I am a Southern California native (Let’s Go Lakers, Rams, and Dodgers). As a child, there was always something special to me about being able to look at our family albums and travel into moments long since past. It has been said that time is the most valuable thing in this world because you can not get it back. To me, a photo allows you to freeze those special moments in time forever. I love the idea that an insignificant photo taken today becomes priceless as the years go by. As much as I am enamored with photography, I am even more so in love with that pretty lady above me. I am learning every day about love and how it may not be easy, all the time, but always worth the work. One thing I know for sure is that love is vital to the human existence. Love is powerful and multifaceted. I consider it nothing less then an honor to capture those special moments forever for you.

Welcome to Happily Ever Esho! I’m Mariessa (soon to be) Esho and I fell in love with Michael and then with photography after taking pictures of him and our dog, Duke, which are still some of my favorite memories today. As Michael continued to let me borrow his camera, I realized I needed my own and the rest is history. Living in America, I understand the lack of value that society places on Black love and relationships so being able to highlight and collectively show our resistance by genuinely loving your partner is the most beautiful thing one can do. Fair warning, I love LOVE and Joy so my eyes MAY start watering as we celebrate and capture your moments together. God bless!
