I planned a long distance wedding ceremony (in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico) and reception (in El Paso, TX, where I grew up) from Chicago. I didn't know where to start when looking for cake vendors, so I asked my mom. She mentioned Greggerson's, which was "the" place to get your wedding cake when she got married 35 years ago and suggested I see if it still existed. Sure enough, it does, and there's a reason why it's been able to stick around so long. The cakes are absolutely delicious. My grandma had seconds and thirds and the rest of our guests raved about the cake! Paul, the owner of Greggerson's, was a pleasure to work with. I worked with him to customize a look and color to match our vintage theme -- again, all long distance. I'd give Greggerson's a full 5 stars except that there was some minor confusion about the design and details just a couple of days before the big day. For whatever reason, the final decisions on design and details weren't properly recorded, but we were able to work it out without incident. The final product was exactly what I wanted except that it had icing roses as a topper when I had specified I already had a topper. No big deal; just put the topper on top of the icing roses: problem solved. I'd definitely recommend Greggerson's to any bride in the EP area.
