With its turn-of-the-century décor, you won’t have need to “transform” an historic hotel for your wedding. Its design is likely already timeless, elegant, and incredibly impressive for your guests!

Renovated in 1996, the General Morgan Inn boasts a gorgeous garden terrace on the rooftop from which you can see four church steeples in the middle of downtown Greeneville, adding to the ambiance and romance of the location. The terrace can accommodate up to 500 guests for a cocktail reception, while the gorgeous grand ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests (250 if a seated meal). Whether you’re looking for an outdoor venue or indoor splendor, the General Morgan Inn truly can provide the best of both worlds. The décor and colors are powerful, yet subtle – the perfect combination for a truly memorable occasion.”

Perfection

Everything about this place is amazing. Patricia and Angela made my day so wonderful. The staff was on top of their game and the food was amazing. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

If you don't have a great team on your side your reception could be a nightmare. Planning a wedding remotely is hard but Patricia at the General Morgan made it easy for me. She took all the stress away. Angela was an angel at the rehearsal dinner and the reception, running the show and making sure everything worked out perfectly. My family and my husband's family loved them.

Patricia was amazing! She did not let us worry about a thing. She told us when the next event was at our wedding and made sure we were ready to start. It was a gorgeous venue and I am so glad I chose it for my reception site:)

The General Morgan Inn was the most beautiful venue! They have both indoor and outdoor areas for the ceremony and reception and the surroundings are so great for pictures. The downtown Greeneville area was so pretty... lots of brick and vintage charm. I got married on the terrace and it was so amazing! Patricia and her staff were so wonderful! They took care of everything! If you don"t have a venue i urge you to check them out. They are super affordable and the food from their restaurant Brumley's was to die for!

I cannot say enough about our selection of the General Morgan Inn for my daughter's wedding venue. She was married on the rooftop terrace, which was large enough for both the wedding and reception area (we had 100 guests). The staff was truly exceptional in every way. We had family from 7 states coming in, so we had several rooms blocked. All of our guests were raving about the staff, the beautiful rooms, and the great food. We had a sit down dinner after the wedding and the food was wonderful , AND it was hot, and served with a smile. Everyone, without exception, went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and well served. I highly recommend the GMI and it's exceptional staff!

Beautiful location in a lovely, charming town. The meals provided for the reception from Brumley's were top notch. Accomodations were at a highly reasonable price when rooms were blocked off. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Guests all agreed that their food was delicious and that it was a perfect ceremony/reception venue. I loved doing my ceremony on the garden terrace. The staff was a pleasure to work with. I actually saved more money through the GM Inn than if I had gone to another venue and ordered catering! They were awesome. If I could get married again, I would do it all over again at the General Morgan.

Absolutely fantastic! A jewel! The staff is wonderful and very helpful-they WILL go above and beyond for you. We only had our reception there (our ceremony was across the street at our church). Everyone was commenting on how good the food was. If you are thinking of having your wedding in the Tri-Cities or Greeneville, TN area, I wouldn't go anywhere else!
