About
Nestled within Omaha's Fort Omaha Historic District, the General Crook House Museum is a beautifully preserved Victorian landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1879 and designed in the Italianate style, the house served as the cherished residence of General George Crook — and has been lovingly restored to reflect the elegance and charm of the era in which he lived.
We're known for our warm, personal atmosphere and the sense of wonder our historic rooms inspire in guests. Imagine exchanging vows in our blooming Perennial Garden, then celebrating with your closest family and friends in our elegantly appointed Victorian interior — where every room tells a story, and that story becomes yours. For those drawn to the outdoors, a charming gazebo is also available just a short stroll away on campus.
With a capacity of up to 100 guests (52 seated inside the house), we're the perfect setting for intimate ceremonies and receptions where every guest feels close to the moment. DCHS members also enjoy 10% off rental fees, making this hidden gem as accessible as it is unforgettable.
