Garrett is a gem of a photographer and a gem of a person! I had seen his photos on our venue’s website and knew I had to have him! He was super responsive throughout my 9 months of planning and couldn’t have done a better job on our wedding day. We were from out-of-state and couldn’t make it to MT for the engagement shoot, so he offered to come to our rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding to get some shots with our family/wedding party. Garrett and his team were so fun and friendly and helped make our wedding day so special. Garrett was with me (the bride) the majority of the day and his energy and personality was super nice to have around. During dinner, they set up a projector screen and were already sharing amazing edited photos of our day and ceremony. I could not believe how fast they turned those around and it was such a great surprise! I could not have been more amazed by the sneak peeks we have seen and can’t wait for the finals. Garrett is truly and amazing professional and person. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I have always considered ourselves pretty awful at getting our pictures taken. It always seemed forced, uncomfortable or inauthentic in some way... that is until we had Floating Leaf Studios do our engagement and wedding photography. Anyone who has ever met Garrett could tell you that he 100% the most comfortable and genuine person to be around. His demeanor, along with his incredible talent, allowed us to finally enjoy getting our pictures taken. Garrett takes the time to get to know the couple's personalities, interests, and interactions with each other before the wedding. Choosing Garrett Thompson with Floating Leaf Studios was the best decision my husband and I made during the wedding planning process. From the moment we first met him to discuss our engagement photos, we knew he was our guy! He was absolutely phenomenal to work with! Garrett is personable, funny, creative, spontaneous, hard-working, patient, and always 110% committed to his clients. My husband hates having his photo taken, but Garrett had him smiling and laughing constantly throughout both of our engagement shoots and on our wedding day. He makes you feel like you are just out playing around outside with a camera with an old friend. If you are looking for one-of-a-kind photos, Garrett delivers every single time. And no request or idea is too big a challenge for him. Whether it's scaling a 100-year old fire escape or snowshoeing through 4+ feet of powder in gale force winds, Garrett does what it takes to capture amazing photos. On our wedding day, Garrett and his assistant were by our sides all day long to capture every little moment. He kept everyone calm, focused, and constantly laughing. Garrett is responsible for preserving thousands of precious memories from our special day and he will be our choice to capture all of our special moments in the future, from family/maternity/newborn portraits, etc.

I'm halfway through reviewing my wedding photos right now and I had to stop and write this review. I could not be more happy with the entire experience! Garrett really took the time to get to know me and my fiance and our vision for our wedding. We live on the other side of the country, so we didn't get to meet Garrett in person until our wedding day, and it was as if we had been old friends. Garrett made the entire process effortless and even was able to help wrangle our unruly nieces and nephew who would not sit still. The photos are beyond amazing. The day was overcast and it began raining, yet somehow Garrett was able to capture the vibrant colors and our photos are more than I could have imagined.

The biggest compliment I can give Garrett is that he managed to capture good photos of my new husband. My husband has never taken a decent photo since the day I met him, and Garrett was able to get his charming smile on film (ok, digital, whatever). I can't recommend Floating Leaf Studios enough!

Garrett did a great job with our engagement and wedding photos. His passion for photography was evident within the first few minutes of meeting him. His work does not end after taking the photos. After each session, Garrett put together a premiere slideshow, adding sentiment to any special occasion. We would recommend Garrett for any occasion and know we will look to him to capture our future precious moments.

My husband and I got engaged in April, and when our venue became available in August we jumped on it. We worried that it may have caused an issue with getting engagement pictures taken and sent out while allowing enough time before our wedding. Fortunately, Garrett was so flexible with getting us in early for our engagement shots and the quick turn around time that Floating Leaf offers with your pictures, we were able to have them in our possession before the end of the week! Garrett, although very professional, has such a laid-back sense of him that everything seemed so relaxed without any pressure. Anytime we (I) had a question or concern, Garrett was always so prompt with his response. The atmosphere that the Floating Leaf Studios offers is very welcoming, and provides plenty of samples of his work, and what they offer in products! Definitely enjoyed our experience with Garrett at Floating Leaf Studios!

My husband and I continue to be blown away at the quality of our photo's from our September 2013 wedding. Floating Leaf studios more than delivered on what was promised to us and did such a fabulous job of capturing our day. We would highly recommend Garrett for any event you have. He was reliable, patient, and made a busy day very worry free.

Gianna took my daughters wedding photos and they turned out AWFUL! They were out of focus, over exposed so the colors were not true at all and formatting was poor. Not professional at all! DO NOT HIRE THEM!
