You can't go wrong with Angela & her team at 1st Impressions! She worked with us to find a menu within our budget & what we wanted. She was very informative when any potential snags came up (with item availability due to Covid & supply issues!) She solved problems & gave us the heads-up on anything she came across. She was always available when we needed to contact her (even when she was out of town with family). The food was DELICIOUS!!! In fact she also catered my best friend's wedding previously, & I had remembered not only the amazing food, but how her team went above & beyond at that wedding, so when it came time for my own, I knew I wanted to check them out. We were not disappointed at all! The staff was very professional the whole time too. I would use them again for any future catering needs too, as they were great all around!

Angela is seriously an angel. She is the most kind-hearted human being and I actually feel Like she would have given us the shirt off of her back if we asked for it. She went above and beyond to give us the menu we wanted for the price we could afford. I promise you she is much more affordable than anyone else and will give you great service and amazing food. I cannot say enough good things about her and her staff!

Our wedding was on December 9th; it’s almost two months later and my guests are STILL talking about the fried green tomatoes at our wedding! Angela and her team with First Impressions Catering provided some seriously tasty food for our wedding, and I’m so incredibly impressed with their service. We had TONS and TONS of food for our guests, and First Impressions provided everything at such a reasonable cost. We were amazed at the value for what we received. Angela even had surgery a couple months prior to our wedding, and I still had absolutely no trouble getting in touch with her to answer any minor question I had. Being that she’s very familiar with our venue, she even provided plenty of advice about different tidbits outside the realm of catering (i.e. where to put the gift table, photo booth, etc.) The team even packed an insulated picnic bag (on wheels!) full of food AND donuts from our dessert table so that we’d have something for the end of the night. Being that we had an after party and were completely ravenous by the time we got to our hotel room that night, my husband and I were so grateful for this. For any bride looking for a Charleston catering gem, I encourage you to book First Impressions for your wedding!

People can not stop talking about how good the food was! My mom is an amazing cook but even she wanted to know some of Angela’s cooking secrets. Mrs. Angela was so thoughtful & nice too— she made our plates during the reception and also packed us a dinner to go.
On the menu: Shrimp & Grits (A MUST HAVE), Turkey w cranberry relish, mixed veggies, mashed potato bar, corn muffins, rolls, salad bar and more!!

Yum!!! We are so glad we chose Angela to cater our wedding! The food was delicious and we got so many compliments on the meal. The shrimp and grits & fried green tomatoes were especially big hits. Angela was very accommodating when we wanted to try more items a couple months before the wedding and invited us to come over to try some more dishes. I also appreciated her willingness to be flexible and work with our venue-we had an outdoor wedding at the Pelican Watch Shelter so she had multiple back up plans in case it was windy, raining, etc. On the day of the wedding, Angela and her team worked perfectly and the buffet line moved quickly. Angela also made sure we had plates first so we didn't forget to eat. She also sent us home with food, which we happily gobbled up at midnight when we realized we were starving after such an eventful day! If you're looking for a reasonably priced caterer that still provides professional service and delicious food, look no further than Angela at First Impressions!!

Angella was AMAZING! So much attention to detail and pricing was MORE than reasonable for food so delicious. The entire staff from First Impressions was kind and attentive and it made us feel so special when Angella handed us a hand packed picnic basket cooler of leftovers and cake to snack on after the wedding. So thoughtful! They also went above and beyond to set up a beautiful table scape with their napkins and the exact color of silverware we wanted. We couldn't be more happy with our choice of caterer and the service.

THE BEST! Angela is one of the sweetest and most accommodating people you'll ever meet. My fiance was in town for a short and unexpected weekend and asked on extremely short notice if we could arrange a time to meet. Not only did she accommodate us, she even welcomed us into her home and cooked food for us to try. From the first bite, we knew we wanted First Impressions to caterer our wedding. Angela was a huge help throughout our entire wedding planning process and was extremely quick with responding to my many texts. There were no hidden fees and everything was executed as planned. Our guests were amazed with how wonderful our wedding food was. I can't say enough about First Impressions! Thank you, Angela!

BEST CATERING IN CHARLESTON!!!!!! Angela exceeded all hopes and expectations. She is one of the best, if not THE best decision I made at my wedding. I have been thinking over the last few days about what to write in this review because it's hard to explain just how wonderful my experience with first impressions was. I don't want to sound like one of those over enthusiastic brides that loved everything about her wedding just because it was her wedding... Angela truly was the best and days after my wedding people were still talking about how great the food was. She was so easy to work with, quick to respond, kind, reasonable and the food tasted amazing. The groom and I didn't have time to eat during the reception and by the time we were leaving, we were starving. Not to worry though, she had packed us up food to go! I can't imagine my experience with Angela going any better. She was perfect and I recommend her to anyone needing catering in the Charleston area. If I was doing it all over again, I would call her in a heartbeat.

I cannot possibly recommend First Impressions Catering enough! Angela was so responsive to my e-mails and she went out of her way to meet with us for a tasting when we were only in town for a short period of time! The food was AMAZING, and Angela even made us a picnic basket of leftovers for after the wedding. First Impressions is also super reasonably priced compared to other caterers in the Charleston area! First Impressions is just plain fabulous! To describe them in three ways I would say delicious food, friendly owner and staff and an absolute pleasure to work with. My husband and I had a small budget and were worried that we wouldn’t be able to find anyone that was top notch but then I found First Impressions and my worries were quickly put to ease. They have great reviews out there because they are all stars on all levels. We were planning our wedding from out of state so we weren’t able to try the food or meet with Angela before we made a decision so those reviews were key. When we made it to Charleston to meet with Angela face to face and try the food, we were just plain delighted and already felt like we were seeing a friend (complete with hugs upon greeting!) I loved the food so much at our tasting that I had dreams about the mac and cheese that night. Not to mention how accommodating they are to work with. I had a concept in mind and Angela was more than happy to work with me to make it happen. Our wedding guests only had rave reviews to share and were very impressed at the quality and deliciousness of it all. If I ever need a caterer in the Charleston area, First Impressions is the one and only call I will make. Thank you First Impressions for being so amazing to work with!
