Bob at Ferd's Bakery was so nice! It was Bob who sold us on the bakery...not to mention the great cake. When I went in for our consultation, Bob was so informative and had several ideas, but he was still willing to listen to my ideas. The cake samples were delicious! It was so hard to decide which cake I wanted. When we put in our order for the cakes, we gave Bob our idea for a groom's cake. He got so excited about our idea that it made us even more excited! He even helped to add to our idea and made it even better!! The day of the wedding he came to the reception hall and set it all up himself. He was wonderful. Everything turned out beautifully. The cake was gorgeous and tasty. When we were given our price quote, it was much lower than we expected and it was way cheaper than everyone else in town. The cake was great, it looked good, it was inexpensive, and Bob was great to work with. There isn't a better cake vendor in town!

Ferd's did our wedding cake and it was spectacular! All of the cake flavors that I sampled from them were delicious, and since my husband and I wanted 3, we went with a "fake cake" for display and did sheet cakes to serve (we had chocolate with raspberry filling, champagne cake with strawberry filling, and white cake with chocolate filling). The main cake was done so beautifully that NO ONE from our wedding guessed it wasn't real. Sheila from Ferd's was able to spread the buttercream icing as smoothly as fondant, so it was much more affordable and looked very high end. As a bonus, the top layer was real so that my husband and I could cut it for the pictures during the reception. Ferd's worked with us to keep the cake well within our budget, too - we spent much less on all of the cake for 150 people than we were expecting. Overall we were thrilled with Ferd's, and I would highly recommend them for anyone getting married in the Omaha area.

I provided very detailed information of what I wanted my cake to look like. I provided pictures and typed out all of the information. I met with the vendor on three separate occasions. On the day of my wedding, my cake was horrific. The taste of the cake was great but the appearance was horrible, horrible, horrible. I twas nothing like I wanted, not even close.
