Sam and Ben were a fantastic team! They have a great website that really showcases their art (it looks straight off of Pinterest!) They answer emails promptly, which is great for an out-of-town bride. We met with Sam the week before the wedding, and she helped us figure out a wedding/reception timeline because we had no idea what to do! For the getting-ready photos, they were very professional but also relaxed, which made for an relaxing afternoon. They are very in tune with lighting, and give gentle encouragement if you aren't used to having your picture taken. During the ceremony, I didn't even notice they were there, like photo ninjas! During the reception, they caught all of the fun moments, and I can't wait to see all of the pictures. When my hook above the zipper on my dress broke, Sam was right there with safety pins and fixed me right up. It would have been a disaster without her!

Before I met Sam and Ben, I was very nervous about having my wedding photography done. I've never been professionally photographed before, so I wasn't sure how I should act or what I should do. From the moment I met them, Sam and Ben put me at ease. During my bridal shoot, they communicated with me so well. I didn't feel as though I was receiving either too much direction (which would have been confusing and overwhelming) or too little direction (which would have left me lost). They are both so friendly and personable, it would have been impossible to not to have fun taking pictures with them. When the time came for my engagement shoot, I was worried about coming up with ideas for where my fiance (now my husband) and I should go and what we should do--but I was worrying needlessly. Sam and Ben are both so creative and talented! All my husband and I had to do was relax and act naturally with each other. At my wedding, I barely saw them. Even as they took photograph after photograph, they were totally unobtrusive. I like their photography packages, too. There are so many options--and so well priced!--that it was easy for us to have everything that we wanted. They were always available to us if we had questions through email and responded quickly when we got in touch with them. In short, the Essential Sunshine team is everything that I dreamed of having in my wedding photographers, but never thought I'd find. I would recommend them to everyone who wants imaginative, friendly, and professional photographers who take beautiful pictures.

Our wedding pictures from another vendor did not turn out as planned, so we hired Essential Sunshine Photography for a "post wedding/trash the dress" session. They were both so passionate about our needs and wants, and the day was incredibly fun.
