Eight One Photography was founded in late 2009. The principle photographers and co-owners, Roy L. Barnett Jr. and Alexander Layton, met during their undergrad at Oklahoma State University. Both Roy and Alexander have had a long standing passion for photography. Alexander solidified his love for photography on his gap year abroad. Roy has loved taking photographs since childhood but found his stride while studying abroad in Osaka, Japan. After the pair finished their post Graduate studies Alexander tried his hand at the corporate world and Roy pursued his passion of teaching. Tired of working for the man, they founded Eight One Photography one cold December night over many a Colorado beer. Allyson is the newest addition to the team and was also crazy enough to run away to Vegas marry Alexander in 2012 at the Wynn in front of friends and family.

Roy and Alexander have had the pleasure of celebrating nuptials with over 50 couples during their careers. We’ve welcomed new smiling faces into the world and suited up with numerous Fortune 500 companies. We’re always learning, love what we do, and it shows in our work.
