DRIFT Bar Events is based in the beautiful towns of Santa Teresa and Mal Pais on the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. We provide exceptional bar and food services for events large and small with the goal of providing unique signature drinks, creative dishes and professional service, taking care of every detail for our clients..
Bar Service
We take pride in using local, fresh, seasonal ingredients: tropical fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices are used to both infuse the alcohol and flavor the drinks. For our signature drinks we avoid as much as possible the use of sweet liquors, prepackaged juices and sodas. Instead, using a juicer we make our own fresh juices, and infuse sodas and alcohol to create what we believe to be a unique and healthier beverage. As well as providing signature drinks for each event, we also offer regular full bar service with a selection of alcohols and mixers, local beers and privately imported wines.
Food Catering Services
We offer a large variety of passed appetizers and Canapés, formal dining with multi course meals, casual family style dining, buffet catering and dessert tables.
International fusion cuisine using organic produce, sustainable fishing, grass fed meat.
Large Miniature Dessert Menu with many vegan and gluten free options. All baked fresh in our in house bakery.

We recently got married in Santa Teresa and used Drift Bar for the catering (passed apps, dinner, and dessert table) and bar service. We also held our welcome party there the night before the wedding. Everything we ate or drank from Drift was insanely good!! I consider myself a foodie and cocktail snob and I was not disappointed. For the welcome party, we did a taco bar with different fillings (mexican beef, roasted squash, pulled jackfruit, and fish). All of them were outstanding and the salad and sauce pairings were perfect. The passed apps at the wedding were great - people really loved the chicken bao bun and the seared tuna on a rice cake. The star of the meal at the wedding was the Peruvian ceviche, which was not only plated beautifully, but was probably the best ceviche I've ever had. The seared sesame-crusted tuna was also phenomenal. All of their cocktails were made of fresh-pressed juices - they were a hit and so delicious! And the winning dessert was the passionfruit cheesecake!! Still thinking about that cheesecake. But seriously, you can't go wrong with them. All of the food and drink is great quality, their staff was amazing and very professional. We love that we found Drift!! Highly recommend.

Amazing Cocktails and Desserts!
We hired Drift Bar as our bartenders for our Wedding in Santa Teresa. The drinks were all DELICIOUS. Each specialty cocktail was unique and so tasty. Bartenders were quick and friendly and kept the drinks flowing!
They also did our dessert table and the mini desserts did not disappoint! Every single one was incredible, and even better as leftovers the next morning for breakfast :)
Drift bar was incredibly professional, and they know exaclty what they are doing. Do not hesitate to book any event you may have with them! They took incredible care of us and we would do it agian in a heartbeat!

Simply the best!
We grabbed drinks at Drift Bar two years before our wedding and had our minds blown with their fresh pressed juice cocktails. Two years later, we had to have them do drink at our wedding and the cocktails may have been the stars of the wedding. Everyone is still raving about those cocktails. Additionally, the staff was so attentive and ensured nobody had an empty drink. We also ate ate Drift Bar for our rehearsal dinner, and we strongly recommend you consider them for that as well. Drift Bar is simply the best.
