The historic Donnelly House, an example of Neo-classical architecture, was built in 1905 as the residence of James W. Donnelly. This magnificent Georgian-colonial mansion features over 12,000 square feet of living space and spectacular white marble floors.
The home was listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on May 20, 1975. It is also a contributing property to the Highland Avenue Historic District, a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places.

I cannot say enough good things about the Donnelly House.Sent on 04/24/2018
Not only is it a beautiful place to get married, Carl was so easy to work with and the food was AMAZING.
He really helped us think through everything large and small.
Carl made sure to suggest we take 30 minutes in-between the ceremony and reception to eat. They provided a secluded spot and plates for each of us. I am so thankful we got to taste everything and get some much needed food in our bodies.
We made a last minute change to the dance floor set up less than an hour before the ceremony and the donnelly house handled it seamlessly.
Thank you Donnelly House Staff for the most amazing wedding!

The Donnelly House was the perfect size for our wedding of 125 guests. The staff were very accommodating and easy to work with. The area for the wedding ceremony was also ideal for a group of 125 guests as well. We recommend using the cafe lights over the driveway and yard to enhance your nighttime event.Sent on 11/02/2016
