Superior wedding cake

Our entire experience with this precious bakery run by this precious couple was superiour1 I can tell They know weddings. We brought a picture of what we wanted to the tasting (which was delicious, by the way) and they delivered exactly what we asked for. Not only was it a perfect match it was delicious. We got so many compliments on the cake. My daughters wedding was magical with a magical cake!

We loved this bakery! They had just opened up the week before we went to taste some cake, so things were a little hectic, but they were very accommodating. The cake was delicious! Brooke offered some suggestions based on what she picked up on the vibe we were going for, but she also took our preferences into account. She made a great looking hamburger groom cake, too. We definitely recommend them!

Good cake, careless customer service- cancelled order

My fiancé and I were searching for a bakery to make a cake for our wedding and decided to give Dolce Bakeshop a try.

First, the good: the cake that we sampled during our taste-test was wonderful, especially the homemade icing. Unfortunately this is where my praise of their business ends.

First, when I inquired about a taste-test, no mention was given of the $20 fee they charge for this- we were informed only after we finished the taste-test. I chose to look past this and we returned to sign the contract to place our cake order two weeks later. Admittedly this fee will go towards your order if, but not telling us of the charge until we were ready to walk out the door was questionable.

Second, upon putting down a nonrefundable $100 deposit, we signed our order contract (on a Saturday) and the owner told us she will have a copy of the contract sent to us by Monday. Monday passed and the contract was never sent. We followed up with the owner three times over the course of that week, and each time they made commitments via email or phone that they'd send us the paperwork at a given time/date, and after the third time that they did not keep their word we decided eat our losses and cancel our order to go elsewhere.

In full disclosure, the owner did send us the paperwork the day after receiving our cancellation notice, without acknowledgment of said cancellation. Even so, the lackadaisical approach to a simple administrative task and the lack of follow-up to the verbal promises to get us a copy of our contract was a disappointment and did not inspire any confidence in their ability to deliver what we agreed to on our wedding day.
