Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Luis Ortiz (aka DJROCKHAND) has always had an immense passion for music. From his early years, he was very exposed to music, as his family is a lover of Salsa, Merengue, Boleros, Rock & 80’s music. At the age of 15, he began his personal interest in Hip Hop music, where he recorded his neighbors in the garage of his house while they rapped Hip Hop. Started creating tracks and perfecting his scratching skills by practicing daily. After a while, he bought his first sound system with the purpose of starting to work in “quinceañeras” and garage parties. Since then, he has been immersed in the world of music (NON STOP!)

After graduating from high school, he decided to continue his passion and evolve, becoming a well-known DJ in the hospitality, weddings, and corporate industries. Great opportunities presented themselves to him, and this allowed his reputation to quickly increase. Over time, DJROCKHAND focused on the destination wedding and hotel market, and became one of the most requested and recognized DJs in the industry.
