We had our wedding at the Divi Sandpiper on March 29, 2025, working with Aruba Weddings For You (AWFY) and Jilianne Lopez. The process was organized and started with us choosing components of our wedding from a wish list, after which we were sent our first proposal and invoice. It was easy to make changes to décor, food and beverage, and number of guests throughout the process. As our wedding date got closer, Jilianne scheduled zoom meetings to go over any questions or concerns we had. Upon arriving in Aruba, Jilianne and her team made sure we had everything we needed including steaming and pressing of our rehearsal dinner and wedding day attire. We had an in-person meeting two days before our event where we met our vendors and dropped off décor. During this meeting she continued to show off how professional and organized she is. She made us feel like no matter what came up on the day of, everything would be handled quickly and efficiently. As for the day itself, we didn’t have to worry about how the day was running, it was a testament to Jilianne and the team at AWFY. Jilianne kept us on our timeline without feeling any urgency, she was also very good at making sure the vendors had all they needed. Jilianne also made sure we had some time to enjoy our cocktail hour, her team always made sure we had everything we needed so we could be fully in the moment and enjoy the day with our guests. The venue was decorated exactly to our request and was beautiful. The dinner buffet was served in a timely manner and provided our guests with a variety of delicious options. The bar was well stocked and always turning out drinks for some of our thirstier guests. We had our post wedding wrap up, all the décor and things we were taking back were neatly packed up, this wrap up didn’t feel like we were being “discarded” at all. Our day went off without a hitch, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day in a more perfect place. If you’re feeling at all like you’re wanting to get married in a setting like this you can trust this AWFY and this venue to deliver the day of your dreams.

Hi, I wanted to post what a wonderful experience we had with Josephine De Cuba. She took over our wedding planning part way in due to our original planner have to leave due to health. She picked right up and made everything smooth and took away all my stress. She was by my side step by step for every part of the wedding planning. When planning a wedding from a different country it’s very overwhelming.. she made it such a great experience. The day of my wedding we had a shoe brake and they ran down with glue and saved the day. She thought of everything. I highly recommend having a Divi wedding. It’s was absolutely perfect!

Shawn and team were amazing and made our special day spectacular. Planning a wedding thousands of miles away can be stressful but Shawn and his team came through to make it special.

AWFY group and Divi staff were incredible from start to finish. From our first hello and interactions along the way with Robert and Daniela, to our very last thank you and goodbyes, their communications and interpersonal skills were impeccable! Emails, zoom calls, what’s app messaging, Pinterest board sharing, menus, dozens of changes and re-reviews, every detail from big to small, was throughly noted, clearly clarified to ensure we were on the same page and perfectly executed!! We got married at Pure Ocean at Divi Phoenix on 8/3/23. Daniela is a brides dream wedding planner/coordinator!! Don’t walk, run to her! She doesn’t miss a thing! She has an eye for perfection. She is truly the best in the game. Her knowledge, experience and honesty was so helpful for planning a wedding from the states. The other bridal attendants and staff members the day of communicated with earpieces and were so on top of everything. My bridesmaids and I utilized the bridal studio the day of and it was beautifully decorated and had everything requested. Specific requests and details I reviewed and communicated with Daniela for the reception layout and timing of things was done exactly as I hoped. If you are considering a destination wedding in Aruba, head to the Divi - you will not be disappointed! I wish I could do it all over again and enjoy more moments of pure magic under the beautiful palms!!

We went to Aruba for the first time for our honeymoon and stayed at the Divi All inclusive. My husband has never liked the beach or sitting still, but on day two he was already talking about coming back. The Caribbean sand and water were so beautiful and relaxing. The all inclusive drinks and food were amazing! The entertainment and service truly made it feel like vacation.

Aruba Weddings For You was truly amazing! They made all of my dreams come true and we’re even able to coordinate having Sgt Pepper’s Friends(adoption organization) bring puppies to have for my guests and photos! Daniela was so accommodating handled everything! I didn’t have to lift a finger for the ceremony. Daniela made sure everything was handled, made sure everyone was where they were supposed to, and made sure it was an amazing vacation/wedding experience!

We got married on jan 10 2017 on the Divi shores. We want to thank Maurella and the team at AWFY. From the first email, to the first meeting, and thru the whole process; we were met with the utmost respect and professionalism.
All our odd requests were handled perfectly. Maurella is a really good listener and with her industry experience she made the day perfect.
We also like to add that all our guests said that Gregory (officiant) and Paul (photographer) were amazing, and of course, we agree 100%.
We will return on a regular basis now that we have a special bond to the beautiful island of Aruba.

I gave the resort a 5.0 rating because we had an amazing time and would definitely do it all over again.

Pros:
Location - the beach and water are beautiful, facilities were pretty and updated.
Aruba Weddings for You - they were great.
Bartenders - The bartenders that tended our wedding were the most amazing bartenders EVER! They made it happen for us that night. LOVE them and they deserve a raise. :)

Kind of Cons:
Service - for the most part it was great, however, you always run into some grumpy folks.

My only real complaints are as follows: we brought 55 guests into the hotel and I didn't feel like we were treated "special" for doing this. We got a garden view room originally and I had to complain to get bumped up to ocean view like the promo stated. Once we were in this room, the view was a little bit nicer, but it wasn't what I imagined. The interior of the room was very nice and updated, the AC was cool and the water was hot. I was hoping we'd get some special treatment in our room on our wedding night, but nothing was done (and that's okay - these are just nit picky things).

Cons:
Red Parrot - we paid for a rehearsal dinner at this all inclusive restaurant. They claimed we had too many people and put my family (THE BRIDE'S FAMILY) at a separate table farther away from everyone else. All in all, we were all scattered and not really together as one unit, which is why we paid $200 to make these reservations.
Room - 1 of my bridesmaids went without AC for 4 out of the 5 nights. It finally took my father in law and this awesome guy named Corey to get them in a room with AC. That is unacceptable.

Overall, this was a great place and we plan on going back. However, we thought we might have been given a little bit of special treatment for brining in so much cash to this resort.

The whole staff at the Divi Aruba and Aruba Weddings were absolutely tremendous and extremely accommodating.

We worked with Jennifer for the group lodging as we had 65 guests who traveled to Aruba with us, 61 of them stayed at the resort. She was fantastic. A destination wedding will result in some challenges, as you are planning from a far. We had some issues which had to be addressed, but our wedding planner Inge helped us handle everything, even coming in on her day off to ensure we were all set for our big day. We had a fabulous event and everyone really enjoyed themselves and the resort. We cannot wait to go back and visit!
