Debbie made my best friend’s wedding ring and after admiring it for a year my fiancé and I met with her to design my engagement ring. The consolation was convenient and Debbie didn't take long to ask all the right questions to design my ring. She worked off a drawing and a picture I gave her. I was cut out of the plans from then on, and surprised by the gorgeous ring my fiancé proposed with. It is nicer then the ring I had admired at a well-known Colorado jewelry chain. The ring is just as beautiful as I had imagined. I get asked all the time where I got it. Debbie is an engagement artist. I would recommend her for your engagement ring. We plan on going back to her for the wedding bands. My fiancé Steve said how easy it is to work with Debbie because she knows things about jewelry that guy’s would never even think of.

Debra was absolutely wonderful to work with. She responded to e-mails and voicemails promptly, gave us a timeline to complete the rings and stuck to it. The mokume gane wedding bands we ordered are beautiful! It's a little scary to order a custom piece of jewelry without going into a store but she made us feel very comfortable and she does high quality work. The price is also more than reasonable. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

It's a little unusual to order something as personal as wedding bands over the internet/email/phone, but Debra made it so effortless & worry free. Our close friends ordered their bands from the same studio several years ago, so we knew first hand the quality of the craftsmanship. Debra was very pleasant to work with. She asked a lot of questions, made sure everything was to our specifications, and was really enthusiastic about creating our bands.

I worked with Debra Tapian on a specialized mokume gane ring. It should first be noted that it took me a very long time to find a goldsmith willing to do specialized mokume pieces not part of a large series. Debra was extremely flexible and quite responsive to all emails, calls and texts. We spent several sessions walking through what i wanted in a ring and subsequent wedding bands, and she sent me several examples comparable to what i described. Once settled, she kept me abreast of the progress and timing. I actually purchased the stones for the ring outside of Debra because i had a personal contact in the stone industry, but Debra was more than willing to work with outside stones. She started on the ring before i even sent her the stones, and then followed up as soon as she received them with progress and photos. Debra sent a final photo of the ring and made sure i was comfortable with the look. She also was able to incorporate several changes throughout the process. Once settled, she sent the ring via secure mail and i received it quite promptly. The ring turned out gorgeous and the bride to be accepted. I subsequently worked with Debra on the wedding bands, which were also specialized to fit the engagement ring.

In all, it was a very positive experience after several negative ones i had prior. Debra is very friendly and professional and willing to work with the available budget. Also, she is very quick to respond to last minute requests. I had to have my personal wedding band resized and she was willing to turn that around in days.
