Let me start by saying: I am a lot. I know this. My wife knows this. And within about five minutes of our first meeting, Danielle and Ashley knew this too — and somehow they never once let it show on their faces.

I didn't want a wedding. I wanted an event. The kind of night people would still be talking about at Thanksgiving five years later. So for the better part of a year, I showed up to every meeting having doubled the candle order again, added yet another member to the string band, or revised the guest count and seating chart for what felt like the hundredth time. Somewhere around month eight, I tried to convince them my guests needed welcome margaritas in addition to the welcome champagne. Danielle, bless her, found a way to talk me down without ever making me feel like the unhinged bridezilla-adjacent groom I clearly was. That's a skill. That should be taught in business school.

What I loved most is that they never just told me "no." They redirected me toward "extravagant but still tasteful," which — for someone whose natural setting is "more" — is basically wizardry. They gave us options for everything: florals, rentals, DJs, you name it, and somehow every option was one I actually wanted, which meant I never felt boxed in and never felt like I was being managed. Except I definitely was being managed. Expertly.

They kept us on track for a full year so nothing became a last-minute fire drill, and on the actual wedding day — the one day I fully expected to hover, micromanage, and insert myself into every detail — I didn't have to. At all. I just got to be a groom. A very well-dressed, very extra groom, having the best night of his life at the Royal Palms — surrounded by what I'm fairly sure was an unreasonable number of candles and a string band that had basically become a small orchestra — while Danielle and Ashley quietly made sure every single detail landed perfectly.

By the end, it genuinely felt less like we'd hired planners and more like two friends had thrown us the wedding of a lifetime. I was actually sad when it was over, because it meant I didn't get an excuse to talk to them every week anymore.

Danielle and Ashley, from the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping us plan the most perfect evening of our lives. If you are even a little bit particular (we don't say "control freak" here), this mother-daughter duo can handle a groom like me and still make it look effortless. I had zero plans to use a wedding planner. Honestly the cost was truly the main reason. Holding my daughter's wedding at a venue that was mandatory to have a wedding planner was the beginning. We decided to go for the FULL package because once we thought it through we realized this was a huge responsibility and help was needed. Ashley from the beginning was organized and thorough down to the last detail. She offered vendors and choices that suited our needs. Planning was a breeze and meticulously detailed down to the last minute. Once the wedding arrived, she had every hour and moment detailed and planned and allowed my husband and I to almost feel like guests in that we were able to enjoy the wedding 100%! Th wedding went off perfectly and at the end of the night we had everything personal back. A wedding is too big of a celebration to handle and enjoy on your own. Ashley and Danielle worked so well together to meet our every need and navigated from A to Z with ease and peace. I can not recommend these fabulous women enough!
