Cy was so wonderful taking our engagement photos! We were so thrilled when we saw the finished product. He really captured our love for one another; we could see it in every photograph. My friends and family all raved about how cute we looked together. We are seriously considering booking Cy for our wedding next May! He is very friendly, easy to relate to, and he made us feel comfortable during the entire experience. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for quality and genuine wedding photos! Thank you Cy, you're a gem!

Cy was super awesome to work with! He went above and beyond what we expected. He was timely and captured some incredible moments that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

Long story short... I do not recommend Cy. I hope this review does not make us look like we were a extremely crazy couple that was difficult to work with. To be fare we were very supportive of Cy's work and gave him free creative space when It came to his work. Which makes it hard to write this, but below is the problems we had with Cy's service.

On site: This section is positive and the reason he does not get 1 star in some areas. Our wedding was a "non-traditonal" party in a cabin in Dolores, Colorado. He fitted in well with our friends and family at the gathering. All of our guests enjoyed him. He ate, drinked, and celebrated with us. He exchanged numbers with others. He even stayed longer then what we agreed on. When it comes to his work "on the field" he was great on that too. Being kind to us and having great ideas for photos. If I was rating him just on his on-site performance I would give him a 5 out of 5, but the problems happened post-wedding.

Product: Two months after the wedding we asked for a estimate of when the photos will be ready. We were never in a hurry to get our photos back, but we wanted to know how the process was going. He replyed saying he was busy with his band, but will finish the photos soon. About two weeks after this we recieved a email saying he was done. In this email we only received some of the photos that were taken. Confused, I texted Cy to find out that he corrupted the files from our wedding and did not back up any of the files. This sparked us to worry! He did not mention this in his email and assumed it was done. After some text he said he will send the missing photos. For some reason, he could not send us the photos through email so he had to ship a usb with the rest of the photos. So after a stressful wait, we got the usb and found more pictures on it. This gave us some relief. But something did not feel right. We did not know exactly how many photos we took. Previously, Cy let us know that he was only able to recover 90% of the photos that he took, however, it feels like more has been lost. Photos of myself with my family and my wife and I with our dog to name a few was missing. We accepted that we wont see these pictures... but it hurts. I have delt with corrupted data before and suggested paying for a 3rd party to recover the missing photos. Cy replied that he already spent $100 on recovering the photos he sent and emplied that he did not want to spend more, so I sadly dropped it.

Editing: I am not a expert on editing and do not have a eye for it. But a main reason I picked Cy was his portfolio looked great and I wanted my wedding photos to look the same. The end product we got was weird. Some photos were very well done while others I couldnt even tell were edited or had some weird things like cropping out my face or my wife's face.

Conclusion: To be honest. I would not have made this long crazy sounding review if Cy was just more upfront with us and communicated more. We were surprised out of know where with this corrupted data situation. This is not his main focus. He is in a band in Durango, Colorado. He took days to reply, because of this. I'm writing this 4 months after our wedding to when we got our final product from him. I feel like we took a back seat when it came to his busy band. I hope we are the gunnie pigs to where he can learn balance his work load.

We had a wonderful wedding, but Cy is the only thing we would have changed. He didn't really apologize for losing some of our photos and we did not receive a discount (I didn't ask). We waited four months and recieved below average service.
