My name is Courtney Whitehurst and I have been a lover of creative and unique photography for nearly my entire life. I always tell people that my career started as a child with all the pictures my mom took of me and my brother growing up! Needless to say I took after her in that way and had a camera in my hands for most of my life. I spent years practicing and learning photography as a hobby and took some classes in college. It was after my own wedding that I decided to make a change in careers so I went from being a marketing director to being an intern for many professional photographers for nearly a full year. I wanted to know the technical parts of the camera but I mainly wanted to get the on hands experience from working with other wedding photographers so that when I started my own business I would be prepared and experienced to deal with any wedding situation that came up. I am a big believer in doing things the best way possible from the start and that is how I run Courtney Whitehurst Photography.

I offer a variety of services from Maternity to Newborn to Seniors portraits and more but my wedding clients are always the ones I am most honored to work with. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and after all the time and money you put into planning it you want to remember it the best way possible! Since I was a bride myself in recent years when I married my wonderful husband, best friend and soul mate I still remember all the time, money and sometimes blood, sweat and tears that goes into planning a wedding! Because of that I do my best to take any stress possible away from you. I advise all of my bride and groom on a suggessted timeline for photographs on the wedding day so that we know ahead of time that we will get the images you want. I can't tell you how many bridal sessions I do after the wedding day for people that say they just didn't get the photographs they really wanted from the wedding day because things were busy, running behinds or they just forgot. So I take that pressure away from you. I take a list beforehand of any specific family photos or group photos you know you want and decide what time of the day we will take those so everyone knows. I also offer timeline assistance if you do not have a wedding planner to help keep the wedding day organized.

From start to finish I am there for all of my bridal clients. At the wedding I will lay out an elegant folder with a small sign for people who want to be notified when the photographs are ready to view and when they are ready I send out email notifications to everyone so that you save hours of phone calls, emails and messages after the honeymoon from people wanting you to let them know when you get the photographs and how to get copies. They will even be able to order professional prints and photo products for their scrapbooks or as a present for you and your new husband to be shipped directly to you so I will be there to assist them in ordering the prints. I also know from experience that it is a nightmare waiting to see the finished and edited photographs from your wedding so I am committed to delivering quality photographs in a timely manner above the market above. I will edit a few favorites from your wedding and have them posted as a "sneak peak" on my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/courtneywhitehurstphotography and will tag you and your new husband in the photos within 3-7 days of your wedding night! I also promise all of the photographs edited and finished on disc for you within 30 days of your wedding day. I do not limit the amount of photographs and I do not limit how many receive advanced editing or charge you extra so all of my wedding packages include unlimited images and umlimited editing so that your entire album with be show worthy! I strongly believe that there is a place and purpose to get those traditional wedding photographs and family photographs but it's your wedding day so you should be having fun too! Most of the day is fun and creative photographs for you so that when you get your wedding pictures you will have those fun memories attached to them and will have unique wedding photographs that everyone will envy over when you show them off!

I offer general wedding packages starting at $1200 and up depending on your wedding day needs and I pride myself on catering wedding photography packages to each each bride and groom based on their needs and budget because let's face it...every bride is different and you shouldn't have to settle on a general package when there is nothing "general" about your wedding!
