About

The City of Evanston maintains several buildings for use to the public including the Beeman-Cashin Building, the Historic Train Depot, the Machine Shop, and the tent in Depot Square. To view photos of the buildings, see our Facilities page. The buildings are available to rent for private functions, for-profit functions, and none-profit functions.

Meeting rooms are also available within the Roundhouse. These include the Portland Rose Room in the Roundhouse which has three breakout rooms (Challenger, City of Los Angeles, and the City of San Francisco rooms). The Roundhouse Mezzanine is also available for meetings only, no events. There is so many options that come with these venues. We used the Roundhouse and Depot Square. It was absolutely perfect. We had access to more chairs, different sizes of tables, and time in our venues than we could have hoped for. We worked with Micki in the office and she was amazing and responded to my millions of questions very thoroughly and quickly. All the grounds workers we interacted with were all very helpful. Our entire experience was amazing.

This place is beautiful. Lots of natural lighting, two big open spaces, one for a wedding to take place and the other for a reception, or both. The court yard is great for pictures or dancing or just handing out doors. There is a gazebo for great pictures of the couple. The price is just right for those who are on a strict or tight budget. Very easy to decorate and set up, its great for on outdoor and indoor wedding.

This building is absolutely beautiful! The woman that we worked with and showed us the building was incredibly helpful! Answered all of our questions and told us that anytime we needed to come check the venue out again for planning we were more than welcome to. The price was great and we are so very grateful!
