We had our ceremony at Epiphany of the Lord church. Pastor/Father Stephen Bird was very helpful and understanding about the traditions of a Vietnamese ceremony. Deacon Bob Heskamp and his wife counseled my husband and I prior to getting married and we really enjoyed them. The church overall was very nice and helpful with all the processes and procedures of getting married.

Epiphany is the parish I have gone to since I was little. The priest I thought would marry me was transferred to another parish and Father Bird is not the priest. The value is great I think we only had to pay $125 for having the wedding ceremony (not sure of the price if you are not a member of the parish). I think the location is really pretty. Especially if you have an evening wedding like we did. Everybody on the parish staff was nice but Fr. Bird was kind of a different story. My now husband is not Catholic and when we went to all of our pre-marriage counseling he would say "well since you're not Catholic" and other little condescending comments. That really irked me and I felt uncomfortable for my husband. Also a few other things. He won't let you walk down the aisle to "Here Comes the Bride", which was fine b/c I didn't want that song, but some brides might. You can't have the flower girl throw rose petals (even if they are fake). Not really sure why, the place is carpeted. Also, every girl dreams of the moment when they get to head down the aisle with their dad. Well, Fr. Bird does not let you use a different song than everyone else in the bridal procession. So my dad and I just decided to take an extra long pause and the organ player (who is AMAZING!!!!!) made sure to really go all out during the time I went down the aisle so it worked out well. I don't know I just felt like Fr. Bird was a little controlling and it your significant other isn't Catholic warn them that they might get beat up a little.
