My MIL and I had a wonderful tasting with Christie! She came prepared with fresh cakes, two portfolio books, tons of knowledge, and we all had great conversations as well. Very impressed!!

Christie was amazing to work with, she works a day job which pretty much every good baker does these days unless you want a grocery store cake or to pay a lot more! She met us, tried some samples, looked at a book and online and we filled out an info sheet, and it was super chill, no pressure, I mean after all I am not buying a house so signing a "contract" from other bakers seemed to take the joy and excitement away. I was thrilled when I walked in and saw the cake, it was beautiful. Guests are still calling me asking where I got it and laughing that they had two pieces it was so good. Great choice, my sister just got engaged and she is using her too!

Our wedding cake was very good and was a great price! We corresponded via email and when my wedding cake arrived on the day of it looked like I had wanted it to! She was very easy to work with and the cake was delicious!

Our wedding cake was the one thing I knew I didn't have to worry about after booking with Christie's Cakes. We had done our cake tasting about a year in advance of our wedding date, so we definitely forgot any of our preferred flavors by the time the wedding was just weeks away! It didn't matter because all of her cake flavors and fillings were delicious! And, less than 4 weeks from the wedding day, I finally sent her a picture from Pinterest of my dream wedding cake, and she replicated it perfectly! I received so many compliments from friends on both the taste (champagne with strawberry filling, and fudge with raspberry filling) and the cake design! I highly recommend Christie's Cakes.

Also, fyi, I planned my wedding remotely as this was a quasi "destination" winery wedding for me, my fiance and the majority of our guests who all reside in Seattle. I feel so lucky to have stumbled across Christie's Cakes online, because I had absolutely no personal referrals to work from!

The cake was delicious and absolutely gorgeous! Couldn't have asked for a better looking and tasting cake. I was however dissapointed with the lack of communication and clear contract terms with Christie's Cakes. We never had any kind of signed contract. There was miscommunication about what was to be returned after the wedding was over. It was frustrating becrause if we would have had a signed contract with terms and conditions, our experience would have been much more positive. In the end she was mad at us because she wanted to charge us for missing items, but had we had a list of what needed to be returned, then we would have returned them and all parties would have been happy.
I would recommend Christie because her cake was amazing, I would just use caution and get signed papers with details of what should happen.

I ordered a cake from Christie because of the good reviews and I've tasted her cakes before. Do not go with her. She's very unresponsive and hard to get a hold of her. The day of my wedding she didn't bring the cake. I'm still struggling to get my money back. At this point she's basically stolen from me.
