Svenja is a true artist! We had our wedding in February and could not have imagined a more spectacular display of flowers and greenery. People are still talking about the flowers a month later!

We met Svenja last year at her workshop and from a few short emails and my Pinterest board, I could tell she already knew what I wanted (and envisioned things she knew I'd want if I knew they existed). I didn't have any super specific things that I was looking for, I just knew I wanted something not super traditional, and something very whimsical and lush. She nailed it. She brought the outdoors in with a lush, dripping mantle piece for the ceremony, dripped flowers over candelabras, created unbelievable centerpieces unlike anything I had seen, huge bouquets, perfect corsages, the most lovely flower crown... I could go on and on gushing about the final outcome. But that's not it! Svenja makes it such a personal and easy experience. I never felt like I had to "make sure" she knew what we wanted. I will find any reason to work with her in the future and I'd recommend her to anyone looking for something different. Stop looking and book her and her team already!

Flowers were pretty low on my list of priorities for my August 2015 wedding. I usually find wedding flowers to be cheesy with roses and glitter, or overly contrived with a ridiculous color scheme. I am so glad my wedding planner introduced my partner and I to Svenja!

Svenja is an amazing artist, whose medium happens to be flowers. Her work is breathtaking and unique. Her arrangements remind me of a Dutch still life painting, where the longer you look, the more you discover. She has an eye for detail and form, and also pushes the envelope. Multiple guests commented on how unique our wedding flowers were.

Although we were on the lower end of wedding budgets she works with, Svenja spent a lot of time at her studio talking about options and our vision for our venue. She sent out a proposal immediately, and making changes a couple weeks out from the wedding was no big deal (we needed more boutonnieres).

Not only is her work great, Svenja is also a funny and kind and was a pure joy to work with. One of the weddings lowest priorities turned into one of the best parts of our big day.

Svenja is the second florist we sat down with, but immediately we have decided that we wanted to go with her. She understood us when we say we wanted the ambiance to be elegant yet whimsical. And boy did she deliver! She came to our planning meeting and provided invaluable information and asked questions that we didn’t know to ask. She has even taken it upon herself to help us decide on the type and color of napkins we should get, and helped us order matching chairs from the event rental company. You really don’t need a planner if you have Svenja on your side (groom’s words).

On top of that, she is the most responsive vendor we’ve worked with. She knows how to prioritize and keep you in the loop on important things, but spare you the unnecessary details. I don’t think we even talked about exactly what my bouquet would look like (which might be nerve wrecking for some brides) but it turned out great when you give her the full creative license!

She is very conscientious of our budget and helps us stretch our dollar as far as she could. We experiment with some fun hanging flower ideas and she came to us and said “thank you for letting me do something different, it is so much fun” when in fact, it was us who are fortune enough to have her and her innovative ideas. We were bummed that no one helped us salvaged the plants at ceremony, but of course she did. She even got fresher ones for us to pick up after the event. Highly recommended!!
