Chequessett was a great venue for our summer wedding! The staff was great to work with and highly recommended for a cape cod wedding.

When we planned to get married we both wanted it to take place on the beach. The Cheqessett Boat House was PERFECT for our special day. From the minute we first visited it we knew it was what we wanted. Tia was so warm and helpful during the entire time, from planning, adjusting for our changes and the ever present on the day of our wedding. The ceremony on the beach was wonderful and the deck at the boat house is large with spectacular views. Our guests are still commenting on the fantastic time and this wonderful venue!! We had a perfect wedding day at this most perfect location. It rained (!) which was not in the plan, and everyone was accommodating and helpful. I couldn't have asked for more.

Barbara and Tia were absolutely fabulous to work with! From the very first meeting, we knew it was a good fit. Tia was great - easy to contact and very helpful in guiding some of the decision making (we had some weather issues). Her staff members were professional but very friendly and easy to work with (set up was a bit chaotic with the weather). Staff members and Tia were incredibly attentive throughout the night. Unfortunately it was overcast that day but the setting was still perfect. Quick shout out to Clambakes Etc/ Anchor Tent and Beth O'Rourke (DJ) for their awesomeness too. Chequessett appears to have the routine down to a science with the outside vendors. It's 3 months later and people are still talking about how they had such a great time - a few are wondering if we are renewing vows at Chequessett for another party!

The boathouse was the perfect location for our beach wedding. Tia and her staff were wonderful from day 1 and always professional and helpful. Tia went above and beyond to make our day run smooth and relaxing. We couldn't be happier with our location.

I knew as soon as we saw this venue that this was the perfect fit for us. The venue is gorgeous and classy without feeling stuffy. We worked primarily with Tia, who was warm, friendly, and accommodating. She also checked in with us periodically throughout the night to be sure everything was going as we wanted. The entire planning process felt laid back and easy. We had our wedding on the beach, utilized the boathouse for cocktail hour and reception, and did dinner in the clubhouse- it all worked out perfectly and we received many compliments. The views of the golf course from the clubhouse and the beach/ocean from the boathouse are both stunning. Our guests received golf cart rides down to the beach as they arrived and for all trips to the restrooms- no one ever had to wait. We used many of the preferred vendors that Chequessett recommended, including Clambakes, Etc., Wildflower of Provincetown, and Hole in One in Eastham for donuts, and we were very pleased with all of them as well. We would absolutely recommend this venue and their staff.

CYCC's facilities are rustic, warm, and classically Outer Cape, and the views are absolutely stunning. Tia, CYCC's Events Coordinator, provided a list of CYCC-recommended vendors; between those and vendors we identified ourselves, we were able to bring in everything we needed to fit our style and budget. CYCC provided the bar (with a fabulous wine list) and were able to pour signature cocktails, which were a huge hit. Tia fielded questions and managed our stress prior to the wedding, and she and her staff made sure all of the vendors and moving parts worked seamlessly the day of our wedding. We held our ceremony in the boatyard, reception in the boathouse (and guests could play games and walk on the beach during cocktail hour), dinner and speeches in the clubhouse, and dancing in the boathouse. We've heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests, and we are so pleased that we chose CYCC for our special day. We wholeheartedly recommend it as a venue!

We were married in 2014 and were drawn to the casual nature of the place - the grounds, staff, and general (beautiful) atmosphere. As cape natives it was one of the few authentic places left. If you're looking for a Wequassett, or a Wychmere, this isn't it. It's not full service - but having been an event planner I did much of the logistics myself and I was ok with that. I enjoyed the process but I now that it's not for everyone. What I loved? We could have our dog roam around. We had flexibility on creative choices on decor (we kept it simple though). There weren't 2 other weddings going on at the same time (which you'll get at the aforementioned places). This was a truly unique venue. Want a golf course? Got it. Want waterfront? Got it. But you'll have to work. And to me that made it more special, less banquet-y, and more our own. Barbara and Tia were very calm, kind, and up front about my responsibilities vs theirs, sometimes you must take these things into account before you sign the contract. And if it's right for you - you won't regret it. Love CYCC!!!

My husband and I just had our wedding at CYCC on 10/5 and had a perfect wedding day. We had our ceremony on the beach in front of the boathouse, cocktail hour at the boathouse, dinner and dessert at the clubhouse, then back to the boathouse for dancing.

While we had a really special wedding, our experience with CYCC came with some frustrations. First, the events manager left only a few months before our event - and only advised us after I emailed her about something. Taking over for her was her boss and the GM, Barbara.

If you choose CYCC, you need to be OK with not having a 'wedding coordinator'. You can hire a planner or act as your own (I acted as my own and our caterer has a day-of-coordinator that comes with their services). CYCC is simply a venue: you rent your china, silverware, glassware, chairs, tables, so choosing your vendors after this one is crucial in your success and budget.

The GM does not hold regular office hours, so getting in touch, at times, was difficult. Also, while it wasn't something we specifically addressed, the attire worn by the CYCC staff was not wedding appropriate. If you choose to have your wedding here, I would specify the attire (i.e. all black; golf shirts).

Chequessett is a beautiful and unique place to host a wedding: if you decide on it, choose it for the venue and hire a great planner.
