Welcome to Château des Buis...
It is every girl's dream to marry their prince in a historic, romantic castle with sweeping views.
Château des Buis is a substantial 13th century property that has had only 2 owners throughout its 800-year history - the present custodians having lived at the Château for over 350 years. The 'Château des Buis' derives its name from the type of box hedging that can be seen around the formal gardens and is typical of borders used in both French and Italian (Italianate) garden designs in many Châteaus and Palaces - including Versailles.
The Château's main function has been as a family home. However, from April to October 2013, 'Les Chatelains' (owners) permitted a limited number of Exclusive Weddings & Vow Renewals to take place on the property.
Whilst the rooms occupied by owners will remain private, this accounts only for 30% of the space available. The remainder of the property and grounds will be offered for the exclusive hire to bridal couples who wish to exchange their vows in this truly magnificent venue.
As part of this unique and exclusive experience, your host, 'le Chatelain', will provide a guided tour during the day to explain the history of the Château and guide you around some of its most historically-important features - including the hand-painted fresco from the Renaissance period and the 'Salle des Fresques'.
To ensure the best possible experience for you on your Wedding Day, our package includes the full time services of our own Wedding Planner and Professional Photographers (both of whom have extensive experience organising and photographing destination weddings across Italy & France).
We can cater for up to 200 people including the Bride & Groom and have kept the pricing as simple as possible.
The rental price for 'Chateau des Buis' includes the following:

As we were unable to fulfil our ambition of marrying abroad at the time we both decided that we would one day renew our vows abroad. We were after a location which would provide us with an authentic feel, filled with French ambience and tradition, yet giving us the privacy and intimacy in wonderful countryside surrounding to enjoy our special day. We were lucky enough to stumble upon the magical Chateau De Buis. Although the chateau itself was not open during our preferred date, the organisers were kind enough to make an extra special exception to facilitate us on this date (as they are only open between April and October). From the moment our party arrived we loved this AMAZING place. Set in a traditional rural village which had stood still in time, with the backdrop of rolling lush countryside hills, it had the exact setting we were after. The chateau itself was deceptively large but beautifully kept with periodic decor with all the mod cons, but kept with embracing a rich family tradition full of character and history. From the moment we arrived, everything ran like clockwork, and we were very well looked after with a great team involved. The hair stylist and makeup ladies were exceptional - bubbly and friendly characters and did a great job making my wife look her best. The flower arrangements were exactly what we had asked for, and the chateau and the grounds itself were enchanting providing a stunning backdrop with a beautiful boudoir and bridal chambre. The food was to die for and was very well received by all guests, and the staff could not do enough for us. The photographers, Belle Momenti, were truly amazing and really knew how to capture the best photos and moments around the Chateau. Overall we had a truly enjoyable experience and only wish we had actually got married here, with the only disappointment being having to leave! We would highly recommend Chateau De Buis to anyone wanting to capture their special day in FranceSent on 03/01/2013

We were delighted to have the wedding of our dreams at this beautiful Chateau! I had always wanted an informal yet beautiful wedding reception outdoors in spectacular surroundings and Chateau des Buis provided everything and more. From the lovely and very organised wedding planner, to the stunning flowers, beautifully-decorated tables and highly skilled and attentive photographers, we were impressed with the professionalism and dedication throughout. Indeed, a special mention should be made to host, whose wonderful welcome and presence on the day made our wedding even more memorable. All of my family and friends commented on how beautiful the setting was. A sincere thank you to all at Chateau des Buis, but especially the family, for allowing us to have our wedding in their beautiful home.Sent on 09/22/2012
We had the privilege to photograph this stunning new wedding venue for their marketing brochures and online materials. It is a 13th Century Château steeped in history and set in the most gorgeous surroundings. The host is the current owner of the property and they offer 'Exclusive Use' wedding and vow renewals to suit this very high class historical venue. A real must to consider when planning your wedding in France.
