About

I believe every couple deserves to have a ceremony that reflects THEIR beliefs and lifestyle. Most couples who choose my services want something MORE than the ordinary ceremony that would be provided by a judge or magistrate, a church-affiliated minister or even most other Wedding Officiants. Unique optional rituals such as a six-color Past/Present/Future and/or Family Sand-blending into a Unity Vase, Sharing of Drink, Hand-fasting, Ribbons of Hopes & Wishes, Sands of Hopes & Wishes, Native American style Blanket ritual, Earth-based rituals or a Unity Candle-lighting (for indoor ceremonies) add a certain panache to your ceremony that will have your guests commenting positively and provide you with extra special memories. The Sandblending and Ribbons rituals also provide you with a keepsake of the ceremony to take home with you (the Unity Vase or tied Ribbons). I have also officiated at themed weddings such as Renaissance, Halloween, Vampire, Western/Cowboy, Pagan and more. Remember, the ceremony itself sets the tone for the rest of the celebration, so having an open-minded Officiant with whom you feel a connection is very important. I am here to offer as much or as little in the way of ideas, advice, suggestions as you desire for your ceremony! I have had a few couples write their entire script, leaving it to me to practice it out loud enough so that it sounded like my own words; having some theater experience definitely comes in handy sometimes. : )

For outdoor, daytime ceremonies, we also offer a digital photos on DVD option, either with or without editing. Virtually all of the photos from my website and its links of my ceremonies were taken by us. I also have a decorated Wedding Arch available for rental!

While Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and surrounding areas (such as Elephant Butte Lake, Caballo Lake, Cuchillo and Hillsboro) offer some beautiful sites for ceremonies, I often travel to areas many hours away to perform ceremonies. Here are some other locations where I have officiated in New Mexico: White Sands National Monument, City of Rocks, Spencer Theater in Alto, Inn of the Mountain Gods (Ruidoso), The Lodge at Sierra Blanca (Ruidoso), Gila National Forest, Sandia Mountains, Pecos River (Carlsbad), a number of private vacation rentals in Ruidoso, Sacramento Mountains (accessible only by 4-wheel drive!). When living in California, most of my ceremonies were on a beach or ocean bluff, some on golf courses or in back yards; wherever you want your ceremony to be held, I am willing to go there! I encourage involving your minor children (if any) in the ceremony, perhaps with a Family Sand-blending. Let me help make YOUR ceremony the one you AND your guests will remember most fondly. Let's talk! If you call, be SURE to leave a message with your wedding date for me, so if we play phone tag a couple of times, I can at least let you know if I am available on your desired date.

Celeste was just what we were looking for. From the very first time we contacted her, until our ceremony date, she was so much help. She wrote a beautiful ceremony and somehow knew exactly what we wanted before we ever told her. We are forever grateful! It was absolutely perfect. We traveled from out of state and our few guests said that they have never heard such a heartfelt ceremony. Thank you Celeste and Chuck for being so loving and welcoming...

My husband and I got married over the weekend (11/16/13) and Celeste was just the best. Because of the distance between us, we had only spoken on the phone or via e-mail. Celeste was always extremely responsive and was very open to the ceremony we had planned. She was helpful when needed to make the ceremony flow and sound better, but never advocated for any changes that did not enhance the ceremony. She is so easy to work with and on the day of our ceremony, she did such an amazing job and we got many compliments from our guests. Celeste is also a very warm and genuinely caring person. We would highly recommend Celeste!

My husband and I decided to be adventurous, so we flew to T or C from Hawaii to get married. It was one of the best decisions that we have ever made because Celeste conducted a truly beautiful wedding ceremony for us that was better than anything we could have imagined, especially since we planned everything a week in advance. Even though we had only communicated by email prior to the event, her warm and reassuring voice came through from the start helping to minimize any worries we had since we had never been to New Mexico. She provided two witnesses, a photo CD, great suggestions for locations, and even changed her schedule to accommodate our appointment time due to a last minute time conflict at our venue. She definitely created a life-changing, memorable moment for us with her words that made us feel as if she knew us deeply although we had never met until the wedding.

We were looking for something small but special for our wedding and Ceremonies in Nature (Celeste) provided words that moved us and will always be a wonderful memory for us to share.

We have known each other since we were 12 and since we were getting married at 50 the ceremony needed to be something that fit who we are. Memories of that special day will always bring us joy and comfort and the ceremony is the main part of that memory! Celeste delivers a beautiful service and wonderful memories.

My wife and I met Celeste prior to our marriage when she visited our Bed and Breakfast; we took an immediate likening to her. So when we decided to get married two years later we knew we wanted Celeste to do our ceremony The main reason we wanted Celeste to do the ceremony was due to the fact that we could make it as non-traditional and unconventional as we wanted. This is not to say she could not do a conventional wedding (i.e., in a church, minister, reverend religious based, etc) but at the age of 50 we wanted a ceremony outside, at our home, and with a ceremony completely different from the ordinary.
I knew what I did not want for a ceremony, but I did not know what I really wanted. So Celeste was very helpful proposing different formats; we decided to do the sand blending and wine celebration . We also did not want a religious based ceremony but rather a secular humanist spirited approach. Celeste did a great job of proposing different ceremonial passages and allowing us to change it to our personalities.
Celeste was very helpful in being able to do the ceremony at our home- some 140 miles from her home. In addition she helped overlook several of the wedding functions and would have clearly done more if needed. She was good at helping where needed and also respecting what we wanted to do ourselves.

Celeste was a delight. She listened to us and created a ceremony that was personalized, relaxed, beautiful, and in the Spirit. We wrote our own vows, and Celeste provided some very special prayers, as well as offering a sand-vase ceremony representing our past together, our present, and our future -- a lovely touch. Her style is respectful, dignified, and also joyful and encompassing. I can imagine any bride delighted and grateful for her services.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
