Magical Mountain Wedding
The historic charm of the Opera House provided a memorable destination for our guests and a stunning backdrop for our wedding photos. We held our ceremony in the Opera House gardens, with access to the Teller House creating a wonderful indoor/outdoor experience and giving us an easy backup plan in case of unpredictable mountain weather. The garden itself was intimate and romantic, surrounded by beautiful flowers and landscaping. In fact, we saved considerably on flowers and décor because the garden and historic buildings were already so beautiful on their own.
Our ceremony transitioned seamlessly into cocktail hour, allowing guests to mingle in the garden and wander through the beautiful, historic rooms of the Teller House. Rather than simply feeling like a wedding venue, the setting became part of the experience and gave our guests so much to enjoy and explore throughout the celebration.
I am truly grateful to Central City Events team who helped plan and execute a flawless celebration. Deb and Eric listened to my vision, brainstormed ideas and delivered 100% on their promises—making our wedding day stress free! I didn’t have to worry about a thing, which was truly a gift. Looking back, I’m still amazed by how well every detail came together.
In addition to the wedding venue, we rented several of the Victorian homes managed by Central City Events for our bridal suite, welcome party, wedding-night accommodations, and guest lodging. The homes had been recently updated, and our guests were very happy with their accommodations. Having everything within walking distance of the Opera House was especially convenient and created a festive destination-wedding atmosphere for the entire weekend.
Our guests absolutely loved experiencing both the Teller House and Central City. We heard from so many people that it was “the best wedding they had ever attended,” which says everything about the experience. We couldn’t have imagined a more memorable setting for our wedding and would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a romantic, distinctive Colorado mountain wedding.
