Haley Carnefix is a natural light photographer based in Denver. More than simply being in the business of photographing weddings, Carnefix Photography is interested in telling unique stories, in sharing time and capturing beautiful moments. Wedding photography certainly falls into this category, and Carnefix Photography focuses primarily on weddings, but for Haley this is really just a natural by-product of liking to work with genuinely curious and joyful people who aren’t afraid to take a few risks here and there.

These risks are modest. Following Haley past dumpsters down an alley to stand in front of an eye-catching mural. Climbing up on a boulder on this outcropping to have one of Denver or Boulder’s magnificent views as your photograph’s backdrop. Haley likes to scout locations that will help tell her subjects’ stories with beauty, grace, humor, and unique detail.

Focusing on weddings is obviously also a focus on love. This is why Carnefix Photography is proud to have had the opportunity to work with so many same-sex couples that have had the chance to get married in the past several years. Carnefix Photography is LGBT-friendly, and aside from same-sex wedding ceremonies, Haley has also spearheaded or been an eager participant in local Denver events focusing on Pride and advocacy.

Carnefix Photography is based in Colorado, but she loves to travel: Berlin, New Orleans, Detroit, New York, and Monterrey are just a few places Carnefix Photography has jetted off to shoot the unique union of two people in love. Anyplace. Any time. Put differently, distant and exotic locales are definitely on the menu, and Carnefix Photography is always game for destination weddings and to try something new. But what is more important is the people. The stories. Any location has beauty that can be unlocked by the right light, the right angle, and, most importantly, two people so very obviously in love standing some place in the frame.
