**this review is for the Capri Jewelers at Chandler Fashion Center.

My fiancé and I did a little ring-shopping before he popped the question to give him an idea of what my style was.
We found rings at other stores, but the notably overpriced merchandise, pushy sales people, constant mailing and follow-up calls turned us off from purchasing a ring from them.
Our experience at Capri Jewelers was a breath of fresh air compared to all previous shopping experiences. Their staff is knowledgable, accommodating and allow you to spend your time looking around without the pressure and never-ending sales pitch you typically find with other retailers. I found several beautiful designs in their store, but ultimately my husband worked with their staff to create a custom design. It is gorgeous! They have the skill and knowledge to design any custom jewelry you find at other retailers, online, etc. My wedding set exceeded my expectations.
Along with my wedding set, we also purchased my husband's ring at their store. I found the perfect band with a wood inlay, but they also have several other options for men that don't lean towards a more rustic band. His band arrived in less than a week and we have received several compliments.
I can't say enough nice things about Capri Jewelers and their staff.

While my ring came out okay in the end, we had nothing but problems with Capri Jewelers. What started off as 4 to 5 weeks to get the ring turned into 10 because they ordered the wrong setting and had to re-order. Glad we weren't on a timeline for the actual engagement. Their communication was awful. My fiance would follow up, get told another week and not hear from them for two, all the while getting spam emails about their various jewelry even. It was a constant back and forth and he was nothing but frustrated with it all by the end of it. When it came time to have the gemstones set, the woman who sold him the ring said it would only take 20 minutes. When he got to the jeweler location who'd be setting it he was told three and a half hours due to the rarity of the stones. They wanted to be careful, which is fine but if it wasn't obvious before it became grossly obvious that my fiance was working with someone at the store that didn't know what she was talking about. Fast forward about three months and my ring looks like my dog chewed on it. Really scratched and I even had pieces of it that were flaked off. I took it to another jeweler to find out that Capri did a poor job of dipping it in rhodium so it's yellower than it should be and it's not as protected. So fantastic. $3,800 (excluding the price of the diamond since it's an heirloom) for a subpar ring. Then when my fiance was priced for a plain wedding band, size 11, about 5 mm thick, no adornments and platinum, they said it would be $3k. That's hundreds of dollars HIGHER than Tiffany's. Not sure who they think they are charging that kind of money but Tiffany's they're not. The other jeweler priced me at about half that, maybe a little more than half. So they upcharge something awful, offer a substandard product and their customer service and communication skills are horrendous. They seemed to be open to building the exact ring I wanted but if this is the cost they're not worth it. Avoid them.
