I had a wonderful experience with Renee. I shared a few photos of what I was looking for and she took that inspiration and went above and beyond. The cake was more beautiful than I could have imagined! And it was delicious. Lots of compliments from our guests! We had buttercream frosting and went with vanilla cake with a lemon/strawberry filling between layers. She also created GORGEOUS sugar peonies to match our flowers, so the cake was decorated beautifully. Classy and unique. We could not have been happier!

Very disappointed in our experience. Sampled her cupcake at a bridal show and it was great. We set up a tasting and decided to at $5 extra to sample an extra flavor. She told us 5 total people could come. First mistake was she gave us her home address instead of the location of the catering business where she does her tastings, over 10 minutes away. We're all human so no biggie. What blew my mind is when we walked in, there was only 1 SMALL cupcake of each flavor. For us to split 5 ways. It would have been nice to know before asking my mom and my future MIL to drive close to 2 hours if it was only for a fifth of a cupcake of each flavor. The cupcakes were so small I could not taste or appreciate the flavors or textures. I recommend only you and your fiancé going to the testing, but I would recommend The Cake Studio which is who I went with. Katie with The Cake Studio was very professional, helpful, offered FREE tastings in her home, and gave large generous samplings of her cakes--a large plate for both me and my fiancé. We had the tasting and it went great! It tasted great and everything. Once we decide that we liked her enough to spend the money for a cake, we paid the deposit then never heard from here until the invoice was sent. Now granted my cake looked amazing, it did NOT taste the same as what we asked for, was 45 mins late! And my florist thank god for her, she told her to leave. And the bottom of each cake was cooked way to long. I paid over $300 for a pretty cake but nothing I would dare eat again, by the time I realized I was getting an over priced cake it was to late for me to find a back up.. mind you it was dirty iced... so no real work went into the cake as far as it being decorated. She's great up front but once you give her money you won't hear from here again until it's to late. Should have went to with Pattie cake or short north piece of cake....
