Cafe Sweet Basil has been our favorite place to eat since it opened a few years ago. This small couple owned restaurant uses nothing but fresh local ingredients for all of their entrees. We knew they would cater our wedding. They offer guidance in picking out meal choices but we created our own. My Husband created a baby shrimp and scallop linguine in a white sauce. I chose a lemon artichoke chicken with a sweet potato yukon hash. Sides included freshly baked bread, green beans with almond sliver and their amazing cafe salad. They were professional and added on a appetizer station which included a vermont cheese platter, assorted fresh berries and a coffee/tea station. They also cut our cake free of charge and served it. Food was wonderful. Although we didnt realize we were providing a plate for each and every vendor/staff member....We had the caterer cut up the rest of our cake, but they never served it like we had expected. Our cake baker had accounted for all our guests, and not everyone got a piece, including us! We decided NOT to save our top, so that "all our guests could have a piece" but most of them have said they never got one, or even saw the cake cut up! The guests who did grab a piece said the pieces were too large~ Needless to say we are disappointed in how the cake was served (on a table cut up vs served to each guest), however the food was delicious! Salmon was cooked to perfection-
