I was in search for a beauty bar that has a nice ambiance and decor to get ready with my bridesmaids. Brush & Blush is by far the prettiest, and the reception staff and managers were so friendly. I trusted the Yelp reviews for my important day. My makeup was extremely old style -- nothing like the picture I showed to her. I asked the makeup artist to blend the choppy looking eyeshadow politely, and she started giving me the attitude for not liking what she "drew" on my face. The hair I asked for was a very simple bun with front hair pulled back and twirled around the bun. I showed her the picture of the hair style I wanted at least 4 times. She curled my hair and did a super messy bun that looked like medusa's head but in a huge bun that was larger than the width of my head. Based on my interaction with her during the makeup and half way into the hair, I gave up on asking her to change it. I was extremely sad on the morning of my wedding day. Of course my hair fell out during the photoshoot less than an hour after the hair, and my bridesmaids were busy sticking more pins until I walked down the aisle. All my bridesmaids asked for very simple loose curls and braids, but only one came out good. I honestly can do better than what they did, and I'm not even a hair stylist. I just didn't have time to do them. I'm not sure how they got the awards they show on the shelf in the front, but I'm for sure not going back to this service. 1 out of 7 good jobs is pretty bad.
