Brick + Mortar is an Urban-Cool Venue located in the heart of Wichita Kansas’ thriving Arena District. The Arena District is the area surrounding INTRUST Bank Arena which sits just east of Emporia between Waterman and English.

Prior to the Arena’s completion in 2010, this neighborhood in downtown Wichita was seldom traveled. The announcement of the arena sparked a renaissance in the surrounding areas. The vacant warehouses sprung to life, creating a unique food, art and music district.

Our building, constructed in 1930, was known as the E.S. Cowie Company Building and home of Cowie Electric until 2012. In 2016, a renovation, observing historic preservation guidelines, was started and the process of adding the building to the Kansas Historic Register began. In 2017, Brick + Mortar opened to the public with a brand opening weekend featuring a ribbon cutting with the Wichita Chamber of Commerce, tours of the facility, and plenty of delicious appetizers and cocktails.

Brick + Mortar features and indoor space that is able to comfortably accommodate 250-300 guests. The space is designed to allow guests to showcase unique floor plans. The space can be arranged in many ways to fit the style and function of your event. The indoor venue opens onto our Urban Patio via large glass overhead doors. Next to the Urban Patio is The Entertainment Pad – 8,000 square feet of outdoor event space nestled between custom Corten fencing under the twinkle of Edison-style globe lighting.
