Working with Olivia Brent was the best decision we made for our wedding. We live in New York City and soon found out that planning a Cape Cod wedding ourselves would be too much of a challenge. From the very first Zoom chat with Olivia, we knew she was the right match for us. From putting us in touch with amazing local vendors to holding our hands to making sure every detail was taken care of. She brought creativity, organization, and calm to the planning process. Olivia helped us plan not only the wedding reception but also a welcome reception the night before. She and her team paid such attention to detail, and both events ran flawlessly. All we had to do was enjoy ourselves. And Olivia is an absolute pleasure to work with–funny, down-to-earth, and extremely competent! She knows what she’s doing. Our guests kept commenting on how seamless and beautiful the celebration was.. We couldn’t have done it without her–we’re beyond grateful for her dedication and attention to detail. As we told her, Olivia is the bomb!

Brent Events is, simply put, the best in the business. The best decision my husband and I ever made was to get married, and the second was hiring Olivia to help plan our wedding. She can tip you off to the BEST vendors in the area and every single vendor she put us in touch with A) did incredible work and B) went out of their way to offer glowing words about how great she is to work with — as if we needed anyone to tell us!

Olivia is exactly the planner you want in your corner — she’s a realist, and never made a promise she couldn’t follow through on. When one vendor gave us an outrageous quote for disco balls and uplighting, Olivia made it her mission to get us both at a fraction of the cost — and succeeded! She had so many beautiful and original ideas for touches that made our wedding feel uniquely tailored to us and what we wanted.

Olivia always made herself available to us throughout the 8 month process, and made planning a wedding across the country (we live in LA but got married in Provincetown) a total breeze. We were so nervous about committing to vendors sight unseen (or in the case of the catering, untasted), but Olivia was always honest about what we could expect, and it paid off in what at least 20 guests have called “the best wedding they’ve ever been to.”

We also appreciated how she always took on the more stressful elements for us: taking us off complicated vendor question emails and fielding them herself, or being the “bad cop” if a vendor was taking too long to respond or wasn’t offering the answers we wanted. She’s a professional through and through, but personable and reassuring in a way that made us feel seen and heard. My husband was running behind on transcribing his vows into his vow book the day of the wedding, and Olivia finished copying them for him so we could take our photos. Above and beyond!!

But more than the encyclopedic knowledge of vendors and easy-to-miss details, Olivia always made us feel confident in our vision and was just a joy to work with. It’s been five days since the wedding and we’re already missing our Zooms with her. She’s competent, kind, funny, and turned what initially felt like an overwhelmingly daunting process into a lovely and memorable experience. And I can’t stress enough that the final result was a wedding for the ages! If you're getting married in or around Cape Cod, stop looking and hire Brent Events ASAP.

Olivia and her team were phenomenal. I can't say enough good things about them. They were incredible to work with. Best decision I made in the wedding planning process!! They made us feel so comfortable and special from the beginning (and throughout the process); I knew we were in great hands. Olivia herself was booked the day of our wedding, so her colleague, Emily Merrifield, was our day-of planner. They recommended amazing vendors, always responded promptly to our many questions with thoughtful answers, sourced beautiful decor items for us so we didn't have to be responsible for bringing extra items, and of course, coordinated with the vendors. They came to our initial venue meeting and asked all the questions of the venue that we didn't know to think of. Their app helped with seating charts and payment reminders among other helpful things. The day of couldn't have gone more smoothly. Emily and her team did a phenomenal of job of making sure everything was in its place at each part of the day. She even came to the bridal suite and steamed our dresses. Their efforts allowed me to have a stress-free, beautiful day. All of our friends and family had an amazing time and that's in large part to the organization, professionalism, and kindness of Emily.

(Even if your venue has an on-site coordinator, definitely book a planner - our hotel venue went through 3 wedding coordinators and Emily was what kept everything seamless. A planner is able to focus 100% of their efforts on you compared to the venue, which has many other responsibilities.)

Olivia and her team are the absolute best! We got married on the Cape, but live in California and she made long distance wedding planning a breeze.She was great with managing family dynamics, bridal parties, vendors, details, everything. As far as I know, our wedding day had 0 issues because she never bothered me with the minor issues.

She was supportive of our vision and an easy person to talk to. I could not recommend her more highly.

If I had only one recommendation for a vendor that we worked with for our wedding, it would be Olivia and her team. On our wedding day, Olivia made it the most stress free day we could have had. If something "went wrong", she fixed it before we even knew. If we had to switch something around, she figured out a solution before coming to us. She truly made it the best day of our lives and we could not have pulled off the wedding that we did without her. Olivia was a wonderful wedding planner and was there to help with every aspect of the planning from the start. It is an understatement to say that planning a wedding on the Cape while living out-of-state can be quite stressful, but Olivia and her team not only made it work, they made it an absolute pleasure. It is her creativity, openness, and excitement that really stood out to us. She is passionate about her job, takes joy in all the details that go into the planning, and is extremely creative in customizing every facet of the wedding day, from the ceremony and cocktail hour to the reception. She even came up with the brilliant idea to do a speakeasy (brainstorming and ordering all the accoutrement that come with it) upon deciding that the reception would be themed to the 1920s! And even then, when we expressed that we did not want it to be a Gatsby-like cliché, she understood us immediately and made sure that the reception was a perfect balance of the Cape and an art deco-styled garden party. Just as important as the style, care, and creativity that went into planning a wedding, Olivia is someone who is conscientious about her clients’ budget. It was clear to us from day one that she is so flexible to a point where she can plan extravagant, maximalist Cape style weddings to ones that are intimate, fun, and thematized budget weddings—and she is free of judgment throughout. Many guests expressed just how incredible our wedding was (during and after): a perfect balance of elegance and warmth, both ornate and graceful, personal and intimate. Even though she had another wedding to coordinate on the same day, she still came to ours towards the end. This truly is a sign of commitment and personal, emotional investment in her couples. We have Olivia to thank for everything.

We also had the pleasure of working closely with another member of the Brent Events team Emily who was the most perfect and professional planner and day-of-coordinator. Her communications were clear and concise, and she was always the kindest and most generous soul in the room. She responds thoughtfully and with deep care, without taking offense to my directness and remembering our conversations so she knew exactly what we were referring to at a later date. She not only brings heart and warmth, but also acumen, intuition, and quick discernment in the way she organizes, communicates, and executes. Always commiserating with me when I had concerns—and always from the heart so much so that I could not bear to say anything more--and an absolute joy to work with, I felt we were in good hands and felt completely free of all the worries that come with being a bride leading up to the wedding and on the day of. In other words, Emily had my utmost trust, perhaps the most important aspect of this professional relationship. We consider ourselves extremely lucky that Emily was there for us on the day of, making sure everything ran smoothly when emotions ran high. I will never forget how sweet and considerate she was, greeting us privately after the ceremony with our signature cocktails in hand and bringing me hors d’oeuvres and an assortment of seafood from the raw bar, when I was away from the site to change into my other gown for reception. She was like a clairvoyant who knew exactly what we wanted and needed at exactly the right time. Emily is genuinely a wonderful person and is meticulous in everything she does. She also has impeccable taste and gave us invaluable feedback on the printables. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have shared our special day with her and she will forever be in our hearts, not least because we will have memories of getting married at the same venue some years apart!

The Brent Events team is incredible and very passionate about what they do. They take every facet of the planning and execution seriously. With calm and quickness, they saved us from a few blunders we made (like when I unknowingly sent our programs to the wrong address and when I forgot a big check in a tote bag that no one could find easily on the day of). I think the only thing we noticed towards the end is that they are so passionate about their job that at very rare times, perhaps once or twice, a minor complaint about a vendor or an innocent inquiry was interpreted as a serious accusation. In our case, it was really more the unintentional or innocent mistakes of a few vendors than of the planners themselves, who had little control over the situation other than to communicate professionally with and mediate between their vendors and clients about what might have happened, without being defensive, and to provide some kind of emotional solace for things that cannot be controlled or changed. A heartfelt apology is everything; so is having patience with clients’ complaints and demands. If we didn’t trust them, we wouldn’t even bother to complain but rather take it up with the vendor ourselves. We interpret a few of these rare experiences as a sign of the Brent Events team’s seriousness and passion about every detail and aspect of their profession, which is ultimately what a couple should want--and absolutely need--in their wedding planner. After all, it is much more preferable to have a wedding planner who cares too much than too little.

We would highly recommend the Brent Events team. We had quite a few friends in the wedding party who were getting married around the same time and they had had horrific experiences with their wedding planners. This was not our experience. Olivia and Emily were with us every step of the way and made the wedding day so special. In the end, that is all that counts.

Olivia made our wedding a dream come true and we absolutely could not have achieved the night we had without her. On our first phone call Olivia gave us a breakdown of what we could expect from her and we immediately knew we needed her by our side. We turned to Olivia for questions, for inspiration, for peace of mind and for a friendly face when things got crazy. She isn’t kidding when she says she’ll never get tired of talking about your wedding. I’m someone who loves lists and visuals and Olivia helped keep our planning organized and running smoothly. Our wedding weekend arrived and Olivia was right there with us making sure everyone understood the assignment. We feel like we didn’t have to think on our wedding day; Olivia did that for us. She was with us from the moment the day started until we shut down the dance floor offering guidance and feeling like another close friend on our big day. I feel emotional from the gratitude we have for her. If you want your wedding to be the best day ever you should work with Olivia.

I had the pleasure of working with Olivia last night at a complex wedding. We were the decor team and the catering team that had an extroidinary tight load in schedule, due to the venues requirements. While it was a hard event, Olivia was the leader we needed to get us through. She was calm, supportive, and an amazing go-between for the bride, venue, and vendors. This event wouldn't have happened as smooth as it did without her. I can't wait to work with her again!

Olivia and her team are an absolute gift to any couple who is looking to pull off the wedding of their dreams! When we kicked off the wedding planning process, we knew we wanted full coordination planning so we started looking into our options. Our first call was with Olivia, and we never looked back. The decision was EASY, and we are so thankful to have had her in our corner on the wedding planning journey. Wedding planning is intimidating, and we had a vision that we had no clue how to execute… enter Olivia!! She takes your word vomit of hopes and dreams, puts them to paper, and makes them all happen while making sure it is within your budget. I don’t have enough characters in this review to speak about how highly my husband and I think of her – no task is too small, nor too big and she is REAL with you through it all. We appreciated her level of communication on things to us on a need-to-know basis. She clued us in on info as we needed to make decisions or things were changing, but she also knew when just to keep moving and not bother us with things she didn’t need to. Every single vendor she recommended was fantastic and not only did they all do a great job, but they all also spoke so highly of their experience working with her and how great the Brent Events team was. The band said they were true MVPS pulling off heroic feats and making it all happen behind the scenes – that is the sign of a great planner if you ask me. Not only do we have rave reviews to share as bride and groom, but every vendor or person who crossed paths with Olivia has expressed the exact same sentiment. Our wedding was logistically complicated with a lot of moving pieces but the trust that we built with Olivia through the 10 months of planning shined bright on our wedding day. With bad weather and last-minute changes, as the bride, I never felt better or more at peace than on my wedding day and trusting that Olivia would do what it takes to get the job done and do it well. Amongst all the other incredible work she does, the best part of working with her is that she cares deeply about her couples and brings their vision to life. We felt that each step of the way and continue to feel it in the weeks following our wedding as we look back and reminisce. We can't recommend Olivia enough for all your planning needs!

We hired Olivia as our day-of-coordinator and also to plan and organize transportation to and from the venue and the reception. We highly recommend her to any couples looking for a highly organized wedding planner/coordinator.

Our day and timeline was so smooth, and it’s entirely due to Olivia and her team. At our first meeting in person, Olivia showed up with a binder with everything about us, including our Pinterest board completely printed out. In each meeting, Olivia asked us the right questions to get us thinking about what we needed to have done. She also made sure we were sticking to our budget.

She also did a fabulous job handling all aspects of our transportation, from talking to and pricing the transportation companies, to coming up with a list of potential shuttle services and their costs. This was the part that I was not looking forward to planning myself, and Olivia took that responsibility and delivered a great shuttle company within our budget!

On the day of the wedding, Olivia and her team kept everything on schedule. All of our vendors knew where to be and the day went without a hitch! We would not have been able to plan a wedding this smooth and organized without Olivia and her team!
