I'm Lawrence Lovell, a licensed therapist and wedding officiant based in Charleston, SC. I take the time to get to know every couple I work with, because the best ceremonies come from real stories. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement or a larger celebration, I listen closely to how you want your day to feel and write a ceremony that's custom to your relationship.

My style is joyful and heartfelt with a light touch. The tone stays warm and genuinely happy throughout, often with a moment of easy humor, so your ceremony feels both meaningful and fun for everyone there. As a Black officiant, I believe Black love is worth celebrating out loud, and I bring that same joy to every couple I marry.

Beyond the wedding day, I offer a three session premarital counseling program so your marriage is as strong as your ceremony is beautiful. In over 10 years of practice, I've helped many couples build the communication and understanding that carry a marriage forward.
