We had a very good initial conversation and I liked his portfolio. He seemed to understand my requirements (to capture the expressions of our guests as we had a surprise wedding first and foremost).
Offered (unsolicited) a 30% discount on his services.
Unfortunately he was a bit of a disaster.
Appeared as my first guest arrived (instead of the two hours before I had asked for). Blamed traffic.
Didn’t provide the video I asked for.
Didn’t get a single portrait of the two of us (candids only and pretty unattractive ones at that). This was a wedding!
I paid for an adventure session which a photo shoot the following day for the two of us but we decided not to do it after all. He never refunded us for it or the missing hours he wasn’t present for (his argument was that he had given me a discount already! Oh so you come two hours late and don’t provide the full service and so the 30% discount you offered is off the table too?). That’s some kind of customer service!
He is a nice fellow but talk about a disappointment for us.
