My cake turned out absolutely beautiful...not to mention it tasted amazing! Loved it!

Rachel was great! Her responsiveness was great, she was always available when I called with questions, or she got back to me the same day. Her professionalism was never a concern to me, she knew what she was doing and she is very good at it. The cake was absolutely amazing, everyone loved it. It was the only thing that actually went right that day. Our cake was delivered on time as promised and it tasted better than we ever imagined even after our two tasting sessions. We are from Wyoming but Rachel had no problem delivering to us, which was great for us because there really no where here that can do what she does. We are so lucky to have heard about Bayshore Cakes and picked them to do our cake. We could not be more happy. We will be giving Bayshore Cakes as a high recommendation to everyone.

We had a picture of the cake we wanted but of course we wanted it to be somewhat original, which she did. She made a beautiful, delicious cake that was affordable, I highly recommend her!

Okay, so I only put in a 4.5 star in “Responsiveness” because I tend to distrust "perfect" reviews, and I wanted to encourage people to read this. Some of these categories seem to have a lot of overlap, so I am going to group a few of them.

Quality of Service & Professionalism: They were perfect in all the ways that mattered. They know their stuff, and I didn't have to micromanage them at all. In fact, I was completely comfortable giving them guidelines (cake shape, color range, cake and frosting type, certain design components, etc.) and leaving it up to them to make decisions on what would make a beautiful cake, and it turned out absolutely amazing. I sent them a few pictures of cakes with descriptions of what we liked about the cake, as well as a short description of our general theme, and they integrated all those design features in without any difficulty.

Responsiveness: You do have to make appointments with them, as they are not always in the shop, and I guess that this could be problematic for some, but we had no problems. Mostly, I interacted through email, and that worked out great.

Value & Flexibility: Everybody loved the cake(s) (3 tiers), both in aesthetic and flavor, and they were even able to print out a "logo" I had made for our wedding. And it was a fantastic value. We got an amazing cake (see link below) for almost half the cost of other places. I don't know if I can’t recommend them enough.

Typically speaking, I am not a cake person. Cake is fine and I like it enough to eat it, but if some one were to ask me what sounds good the answer would not be cake. Rachel and Bayshore Cakes have changed my mind.

I went to the Bayshore Cakes tasting with my mom and we were surprised about cake. We tried 15 mini cupcakes. There was the regular butter pecan, chocolate, white, red velvet, and carrot cake. And then there were crazy awesome flavors like cinnamon crumble, lime, orange, pink lemonade, rootbeer, peach, lemon poppy seed, brownie and others. And there was more than just the regular chocolate, buttercream or fondant frosting. Rachel had cream cheese, grape, pink lemonade, whipped cream, pina colada, ganache, and almond frosting, too! I don't like cake that much and I ate Every. Last. Cupcake.

At the tasting Rachel had actual wedding cakes so you could see them up close and compare sizes. This really helped us to decide on our tier sizes.

Rachel made the whipped look just like the picture I gave her and she was extremely prompt in answering my emails (I was one of those nervous brides and there were a lot of emails). The longest it ever took her to respond was 24 hours.

She delivered our cake and set it up and helped put the petals on the cake. Rachel was fantastic all the way around. The only reason I gave her 4.5 on professionalism is because she was wearing a hat and sweatshirt when we had our tasting and also when she delivered our cake. But business wise, she was extremely professional.

T and I LOVED our cake! It looked beautiful (#279 on her website) and tasted even better. We made sure to snag some big pieces of all three kinds to eat after the party. We had so many people tell us it was the best wedding cake they have ever had. The cake was so delicious that it would have been the best value at twice the price.

If we still lived in Utah I would have Rachel do all my birthday / holiday / event cakes because they are that fantastic.
