This review is long overdue and beyond well deserved! Brooks and the rest of the wonderful staff at Bassett made every step of the planning process easy and super fun!! As soon as we walked into the shop we were greeted with a warm hug and a huge smile! It honestly felt like we were sitting around the kitchen table choosing our arrangements with a friend we’d known forever. We came prepared with a vision and a packet of example bouquets, boutonnières and centerpieces - and Brooks brought them to life and gave us exactly what we were hoping for! Bassett effortlessly handled our additional request for flowers for an arbor that we added to the ceremony shortly before our big day, and also perfectly placed flowers on our wedding cake which gave our ceremony and reception the extra little touches that we loved. Not only did he make us feel incredibly special throughout the planning process, but when we arrived to our final sit down meeting before the wedding with my mother whose 60th birthday was the next day - Brooks went out of his way to make her feel special too, running to the back of the store and putting together a simple bouquet to make her day! It was this gesture along with all of the other ways that Bassett helped to make our planning more fun and incredibly easy that make us beyond certain that you won’t regret choosing them for your big day! Working with Brooks Allen was a great experience! My husband and I knew from the moment we met him that we were going to use Bassett Florist as our florist for our wedding. He has a fun, energetic personality that makes you feel very welcomed and confident that he is going to put that energy into your wedding as if it was his own. He is very knowledgeable about flowers and how to match the couple and colors he is working with. I was very vague in what I wanted, except for my color pallet, and he was able to create centerpieces and bouquets that complimented my wedding perfectly! Brooks was willing to work within our budget and made sure we got the most for our money. My husband and I were extremely happy with what we got and could not have asked for a better experience! Brooks was absolutely amazing to work with! We knew we wanted our wedding to be colorful but didn't have any specific requests for flowers. My husband and I told Brooks to do whatever he wanted. He took his ideas and made our day absolutely beautiful. He's so creative and came up with amazing arrangements. We could never have imagined such a stunning display. Our guests couldn't stop talking about our flowers. In addition to his talent, he is such a pleasure to work with and he's easy to get in contact with (even on the day of our wedding, he made a last minute scramble to address something we forgot about during the planning process). I HIGHLY recommend Bassett Flowers and Brooks in New City, NY for any bride looking for their perfect wedding flowers. The bouquets and arrangements came out better then I even imagined. I went with all bright pinks and purples and the flowers were GORGEOUS. Everyone kept telling me how much they loved how all the flowers and colors came together. I had no problem with getting people to take the centerpieces home at the end of the night. I also had a "bridesman" in my wedding party and Brooks made his boutonnière different then the other guys and placed it in with the box with the girl's bouquets and I really appreciated that special touch. Brooks was a pleasure to work with and really helped me stay within my budget. Brooks is the best at what he does. THANK YOU!!!

Brooks did an amazing job with the flowers, he was so creative and made the place look beautiful. He even brought extra flowers to use in the cocktail hour, after I had contracted for only a few, as the venue had changed the cocktail hr and added more tables. It has been two weeks and I brought home one of our centerpieces and it is still beautiful, flowers fresh and lasting a long time Also he was a joy to work with.
