We decided in 2020 that we would open our property to help others with a space for events. While we were in the middle of the pandemic, it was challenging to get approvals to get things moving. It took longer than we expected to get opened but in October 2022 we had our first wedding. It was a special wedding, as it was our son's wedding.
I was raised in Springfield, OH and moved to Pickaway County in 2005. We currently reside on the same property as the Barn at the Lucky Farm, where Jerome and I have raised (and currently are raising) our four children. In the past I ran an in-home day care center and helped many others start their own daycare facilities. Jerome had a career as a police officer and has retired from serving 29 years in the military. During his military time, I held the title of the Family support group leader. The group I lead offered support for families during times of deployment or other hardships. Our oldest son is now in the Army National Guard.
In my spare time I enjoy watching our children play sports, traveling, camping with family, boating, riding our Harley Davidson Trike (because we are old), and spending time with our 7 dogs. Yes we have 7 family dogs!
When searching for a place and help with one of your biggest days, you can't go wrong by contacting Rachael at Barn at the Lucky Farm.
