Once my now husband and I decided to do a destination wedding in St Lucia we reached out to Awesome Caribbean because they seemed to really fit our needs in terms of ceremony/reception locations and the services they provided. I’m not someone who has always dreamed of every little detail of my wedding from childhood, and was a bit overwhelmed by the wedding planning process; I really didn’t know everything that needed planned to make a wedding happen. But Fenella made the process so easy and from the start she sent pages of information showing sites we could pick from, décor we could use, options for music, and so much more. They were always very upfront about what they could do and the costs associated with it. We started planning just about a year out from the wedding and Fenella was always extremely prompt in getting back to me about any questions or requests I had. I actually did a trip there the summer before the wedding to sort out some details for accommodations and Fenella took the time to meet with me at the ceremony location site and show me around.

Fenella is so organized while maintaining an upbeat attitude. Halfway through the planning process we completely changed our minds about where the reception would occur and Fenella didn’t bat an eye; She just gave us options for a new reception location and catering that would work better for our overall plan for the day. She was consistently able to accommodate our wants while providing guidance when it was needed (which was often).

Getting married outside of your home country can be a bit stressful because there are so many unknowns like legalities and not being able to see everything ahead of time. Fenella made sure we knew when we needed to make decisions by, submit required documents, and make all payments. I was able to send her pictures of what I was thinking in terms of décor, flowers, and set up and on the wedding day we were BLOWN AWAY. We couldn’t stop thanking her the whole night because it was just amazing what she was able to do. She perfectly created what we were looking for!

Awesome Caribbean is connected with THE BEST vendors as well; there were so many menu options to choose from for our catering and everyone mentioned how delicious all the food was. The photographer took incredible pictures and made us feel extremely comfortable working with him throughout the day. The violinist sounded beautiful and really set the mood for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Our flowers and décor looked stunning and were just what we’d asked for. The DJ was able to play some special requests during dinner and then kept everyone dancing until the end of the night. And my hair and makeup were amazing! I was worried about humidity being a problem (and we did have especially perfect weather) but my hair and makeup lasted all night!

I couldn’t recommend Fenella, Awesome Caribbean Weddings, and the vendors they work with enough. I feel so grateful for everything they did for us and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the rest of our lives.

On the big day, all we had to do was show up and love each other—Michele and her team handled everything else flawlessly. From managing bookings, set-up, and transportation to coming in clutch as the bobby pin hero right before I walked down the aisle, she thought of every little detail! Knowing we didn’t have to worry about a single thing made the day even more magical.

Michele’s vendor recommendations were absolutely spot on! Our photographer, Daniel, was fantastic—everyone has been raving about the pictures, and we had a blast shooting with him. He captured our day beautifully, with each shot better than we could have imagined. And the flowers left me completely blown away! Michele’s florist brought my unique bouquet request to life with a beautiful island twist that was even better than I had dreamed of.

Michele kept things so organized and seamless that my husband could relax and enjoy the moment without lifting a finger. He didn’t just survive wedding planning—he actually had fun (which says it all)!
