We originally began searching for a vendor once we knew we wanted to get married in St. Lucia, and that is how we found Awesome Caribbean Weddings. From the very beginning, Michele demonstrated the highest level of professionalism. You can immediately tell she does this because she genuinely loves what she does.
For nearly the first year, Michele spent time simply educating us. She shared examples of past weddings, pricing ranges, and different options her clients had chosen, while also taking the time to truly understand our vision and what our ideal day looked like. At no point did she pressure us to commit or pay upfront. We were able to consult, ask questions, and explore everything thoroughly before moving forward, which made the entire experience feel comfortable and stress free.
As the planning progressed, Michele made everything incredibly easy. From vendor selection to the smallest details and the biggest decisions, she handled it all seamlessly. We had a group of 46 guests, mostly traveling from Florida, and she made me feel completely confident that I could show up and everything would be taken care of. All costs were communicated clearly ahead of time, and there were no surprises. She was extremely communicative and always easy to reach.
To put things into perspective, the total cost of our entire wedding was comparable to what we would have paid for just a venue in Charlotte, North Carolina, without any inclusions. Instead, we were married near the Pitons, enjoyed a sunset catamaran cruise, and hosted a dinner at Jacques with an open bar. Everything was beautiful and absolutely worth it.
Whenever we had a question or concern, Michele was quick to provide a solution, which made the entire process feel effortless. I truly cannot recommend Awesome Caribbean Weddings enough for anyone planning an event in St. Lucia. My husband and I are already talking about planning a family celebration in a few years just so we can work with Michele again.

We envisioned a unique celebration, not a typical resort wedding, and Fenella completely understood our desire for local flowers, cuisine, and the stunning backdrop of the Pitons.

She enthusiastically took on the challenge of hosting our ceremony on the yoga deck at Stonefield Resort – a first for ACW – and her positive attitude was infectious... and our moody tropical flower arrangements were breathtaking - she understood the assignment! Thanks to Fenella's hard work and dedication, our wedding day at Stonefield Resort was everything we had hoped for and more. It was unique, wonderful, and exactly the non-resort feel we desired, with a beautiful moody tropical vibe. And most importantly, the day went smoothly. We cannot emphasize enough that everything went perfectly - not many people can say this about their wedding day. Fenella knocked it out of the park. We are so grateful for her expertise in making our destination wedding a dream come true, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to any couple planning a wedding!

The Awesome Caribbean Weddings team completely exceeded my expectations! I worked personally with Fanella who was nothing short of amazing. I was so nervous planning from out of the country, but they were so detailed, organized, and professional — not a single thing went wrong. The whole team worked together so smoothly, and you can tell they really know what they’re doing. Our day couldn’t have been more perfect. Our wedding planning journey started off as a complete nightmare. We initially booked with “By Charlie Ltd (Charlotte Cooper)”, who took our money and then completely ghosted us. We had no responses to messages, no updates, nothing. It was only after digging deeper that we discovered she had done the same to other couples. She is a con artist, and I cannot warn future brides and grooms enough: AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS!!

After such a devastating experience, especially after setting our hearts on getting married in St. Lucia, we were left disappointed and unsure of what to do. Not only had we lost a substantial amount of money, but our trust was also completely ruined.

Then we discovered Michele at Awesome Caribbean Weddings, and from the very first enquiry, we knew we were in safe hands. The communication was absolutely flawless from the start she is so professional, personable and reassuring.

We originally wanted to get married at Pigeon Island on April 20th, but after some enquiring, Michele informed us that it was not possible 1) because the Jazz festival that is held in Pigeon Island would be being set up so they do not host any other events 2) because the date we had selected was in fact Easter Sunday.

Instead of just saying no, she came back to us with an alternative plan, a plan that was even better than we could have imagined. This plan involved a stunning ceremony at the iconic Piton View, a location we hadn’t even considered or heard of because of its distance from our hotel. But as soon as we looked it up, we knew it was “the one”. And it honestly turned out to be more perfect than anything we could have imagined and we got to have St Lucia’s most famous landmark in the back drop of our wedding ceremony. I cannot put into words how magical it was to take our guests to the other side of the island and then explore the island by boat during our reception.

Michele kept us informed every step of the way. She replied promptly to all of our (many!) messages and never once complained when we changed our minds (even right up until the day of the wedding). Her attention to detail and the level of personal care she put into everything was incredible. She even came to our hotel to pick me up and take me to the salon for my hair and make-up trial.

Michele is a perfectionist in the best possible way and from talking to her when we arrived and listening to her experience, I knew we were in safe hands. This then meant I was relaxed and totally free of nerves on the big day.

As for the rest of our dream team:
• Tubz (Videographer) – Best decision we made. We were on the fence about having a videographer, but we are so glad we did. He absolutely smashed it. I have watched the video about a million times and it is something we’ll treasure forever.
• Hannah Wagstaff & Juli (Hair & Makeup) – Both were lovely, professional, and really listened to what I wanted. After my trial, they made every change I asked for, and I was so happy with the finished look on the day. It was perfect!

The only slight disappointment was our photographer. This was no fault of Michele’s as we made the decision ourselves to go with Daniel (BellePort) and while the photos are okay, they didn’t meet our expectations, especially when comparing to other weddings. Perhaps the rainy weather had an impact, but we found the variety and creativity lacking. Unfortunately, we still haven’t been able to select a full album that we’re happy to print.

Despite that, everything else was beyond what we ever hoped for. Michele and the team at Awesome Caribbean Weddings turned our terrible start into something truly magical. We can never thank or recommend them enough.

My husband (love saying this!) and I wanted to have a wedding just the two of us. Michelle and Fenella took all the pressure out of organizing, and creating our perfect day! No ask was too big and everything was simply amazing.
They even arranged a catamaran dinner for us as our "reception".
I don't wish to marry again, but if I could, I would always go with this team. Perhaps vowel renewal in a few years!
