Aura’s provides an urban location and features a stunning event space with everything you need to host refined celebrations. This is our second event in Aura ‘s and we are thrilled for the excellent service and food. This venue offers an elegant atmosphere for long-lasting memories.

Our experience with Aura Event Center was an absolute disaster. There was a constant lack of transparency, poor communication, and an unbelievable amount of unnecessary stress.

The biggest issue is the hidden additional fees. They do not clearly tell you everything you will be paying for upfront. As your wedding gets closer, you start finding out about additional charges. By then, you've already booked your vendors, sent invitations, and invested months into planning, so you're essentially trapped into paying them. This is extremely misleading and completely unacceptable.

We constantly had to chase them for answers about things that should have been clearly explained from the beginning, including lighting, bar fees, bartenders, security, staffing, setup, cleaning, and what was actually included with the venue.

THREE WEEKS BEFORE OUR WEDDING, they presented us with a brand new contract and threatened to cancel our wedding if we did not sign it. After months of planning, they decided to put our entire wedding at risk and pressure us into signing a new contract at the last minute. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about how they conduct business.

And then came the morning of our wedding. They had another event the night before our wedding that was allowed to extend until 4 AM. Because they had not cleaned up the venue, when our vendors arrived that morning, they would not let them inside to begin setting up.

Instead of being able to enjoy getting ready for our wedding, we were dealing with the venue's lack of preparation and trying to figure out why our vendors couldn't get inside.

When our decorator attempted to take a video to document what was happening, they shut the doors on her and locked her and her entire team outside. That is how they treated the people we hired to make their venue look good.

That morning, I called Aanya (event coordinator) and AJ's (the owner) daughter, because I needed to address what was happening. She hung up on me. On the morning of my wedding. There is no professionalism in that.

During the reception, they then locked the women's bathroom after charging us a substantial fee for bathroom cleaning. Guests, including little girls who needed to use the restroom, were not allowed inside. When one of the children's fathers confronted them about it, instead of resolving the issue professionally, they argued with him.

The entire experience was completely unacceptable. The communication was terrible, the organization was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. The people running this venue, including the ownership and management, demonstrated an incredible lack of professionalism, respect, accountability, and basic customer service.

Billing department was no better. The attitude we received from the older woman handling billing was incredibly rude and dismissive, the way they speak to and treat their clients is disgraceful.

We tried to communicate with them. We asked questions. We tried to confirm details. We tried to make sure everything was handled correctly. They were the ones who repeatedly created confusion, added fees, changed expectations, and made our wedding planning unnecessarily difficult.

This venue did not make our wedding easier. They made it harder.

If you are considering booking Aura Event Center simply:

DON'T.

If you still decide to book them, get EVERYTHING in writing. Ask about every possible fee. Do not rely on verbal promises. Confirm exactly when your vendors can enter. Confirm setup and cleanup. Confirm bathrooms. Confirm staffing. Confirm lighting. Confirm the bar. Confirm everything. IN WRITING.

Because once your wedding gets close, you may find out that what you thought you agreed to is suddenly not what they are telling you.

Our wedding deserved better. Our vendors deserved better. Our guests deserved better. And quite frankly, their clients deserve better.

I would never use this venue again and would strongly warn anyone I know against booking it.
