Silver Fork Lodge is a wedding and reception venue located on the outskirts of Salt Lake City, Utah. Just 20 minutes from the city center, this venue offers beautiful views of the Wasatch Mountains. Towering aspens and pines complete the backdrop, creating a relaxing retreat for your milestone celebration. The lodge is open to host ceremonies and receptions, as well as elopements for to-be-weds planning an intimate mountain getaway. Pre-nuptial festivities, including engagement parties, showers, and rehearsal dinners can also be held here.
Facilities and Capacity
The banquet area at Silver Fork Lodge can hold a maximum of 100 guests. For grander gatherings with up to 250 attendees, to-be-weds can rent out the entire restaurant for their event. A private get-ready room is available for the couple to use as they prepare for the day ahead. The banquet hall features rustic wooden finishings with a large cobblestone fireplace, creating an inviting atmosphere. The lightly colored walls lend themselves to all manner of color schemes and event design. Adjacent to this event space, couples and their guests will find a covered patio that leads to a scenic terrace. Here, you can continue to explore the two tiers of lawn. Outdoor celebrations can be held here, for those who have envisioned exchanging vows in the great outdoors.
Services Offered
The staff at Silver Fork Lodge pride themselves on their high standards of care. A day-of wedding coordinator is on hand to support couples through the planning process, ensuring they make the most of the lodge. The venue's staff is also available to take care of setup and breakdown. Catering is taken care of by the lodge's own culinary team, while servers are ready to help the meal run smoothly. Food can be served from a buffet, family-style, or as a traditional plated meal. Desserts and hors d'oeuvres are also on offer. To-be-weds are invited to use the lodge's various event rental items, including:

Exceeded all expectations!!
Now here are some of the hiccups that we experienced. They told us that we could set up decorations at 12. The problem was, they didn’t have staff available to set up in time, which meant that we didn’t have tables and chairs set up until 3:30 which gave us 1.5 hours to try and set pretty much everything up. This caused our ceremony to start late and guests arrived to a mad scramble to get things set up. I opted to forgo a DJ to cut costs and created a playlist instead because they said that the day of coordinator would be able to do announcements and be in charge of the music. This was an epic fail. There were never any announcements made. My dad had to step in and announce our return from photos, when the speeches were happening all of that because most of the time the coordinator was nowhere in sight. The playlist for cocktail hour/ reception played through and we were left with no music for a while until my photographer stepped in and replayed the list. If I did it again I would definitely hire a DJ to help things transition and run more smoothly. Also, be prepared to be handed that total bill before the night is through. I was not prepared for this (my fault) and was sent into a panicked scramble.
Again, all said and done it was a beautiful wedding that I will forever be grateful for. A few hiccups along the way, but hopefully by reading this, future brides can know what to look out for.
