The Clarion made our wedding reception the most amazing reception I could have imagined! We got so much bang for our buck! The food was amazing, Lisa Wilgus (all the staff, really) were amazing, and helped the day run smoothly. Everyone in the Clarion was so kind, and it felt like family being there. I highly recommend to anyone interested in an Ocean City reception!

The Clarion was the first of 2 places we looked to have our wedding in Ocean City and fell in love with the place when we met Kay Windsor, the Coordinator. She took care of every detail and made sure the family and guests were taken care of the entire 4 days of our wedding weekend. She met with us several times prior to our wedding, let us stay at the hotel and treated us to brunch and dinner so we could get a feel for the hotel atmosphere, the food and the staff. I would highly recommend having your wedding or any event at The Clarion.

I cannot speak more highly of this hotel. The staff there is absolutely amazing! We catered a lunch on their back deck for all of our wedding guests when they arrived in town and it was perfect! Our guests stayed in the hotel and the condos next door that the hotel owns. We also had the after party at the Clarion nightclub. It was perfect! I would highly recommend them to everyone planning a wedding or any event in the Ocean City area.

Hello!

It’s pretty easy to pinpoint where my love of entertaining and caring for people came from. I had a great grandmother who lived and breathed hospitality. She possed no degrees or education but out of her being flowed creating memorable experiences. She was a woman who loved to cook and entertain and every person that sat around our well set dinner table felt they were a part of our family. Little did I know that that my childhood and young adult life would be taking shape by her example for such a time as this.

My love of organization and planning has followed me forever, and always carried over into my work. My roots in event planning started in a historical boutique property that lead me to a large corporate hotel in Ocean City, MD. I took a step away from event planning for 4 years and lead a non profit for women and children. This experience only deepened my love for caring for human needs. After this season I took the Director of Catering position a branded hotel in lower DE where over the last 5 years I was a part of planning over 125 weddings. I know have the priviledge and honor of calling Ashore Resort my new home as the Director of Catering where many memories will be created and new friendships will be formed with incredible couples like yourself.

As a wedding and events planner, I’ve been able to hone in on my passion for helping clients create truly fantastic experiences for their guests. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing my services made made lasting memories that will be treasured for a lifetime. I received numberous awards in my field such as, Best Wedding Planner in Sussex County by Coastal Style and the CARE Award recipiant by TKo Hospitality.

What really makes my heart beat? My love for my 5 children, adoring husband, 2 crazy dogs, 25 chickens and 3 ducks! And, my love for gardening and second hand shopping.
